Editorial Review Product Description This IDC study, which is conducted around November every year, encompasses a review of the current year's developments, an analysis of technologies that will make a difference to market and user behavior in the following year. One deliverable from this annual review is a shortlist of 10 predictions, our nominated developments that we believe will have the biggest impact in the next 12 months. "For 2007, IDC predicts the IT market in Asia/Pacific (excluding Japan) or APEJ to reach US$132 billion, a 10% growth rate over 2006. Together, India and China will make up more than 43% region's IT spending, with China remaining the largest IT market, comprising 32% of the region's IT spending and India growing at a remarkable 23%. While the major economies are expected to continue to deliver strong results, both India and China will begin to take a more serious look internally, with focus on bridging urban/rural divides and infrastructure spending. These changes will require more specific knowledge of domestic markets for companies to successfully compete within these major markets," notes Eva Au, managing director, IDC Asia/Pacific. |
