A Bad Twilight Zone Episode That Cuts Off In the Middle
If the Twilight Zone had a rejected episodes pile, I could easily see this book fitting inside of it.Main character is an American Male (Rick) of the 1960's, with a wife (Lynn), little girl (Tina), and household boarder (Marcus).

Then comes the random abductions of children, orchestrated by a mysterious alien invasion.Children disappear into faerie rings, sucked away by the mysterious Time-Twisters.Big monsters roam the streets, until they are exposed as remotes mad of cheap tin (and I could totally see the tinfoil robot topple over in full Twilight Zone black and white when this happened).Next come devices that cause madness, until finally the reasons behind the mysterious pied-piper like Time Twisters are revealed.

Rick saves the day, but unfortunately, doesn't solve the problem which caused the whole crisis.The future isn't saved, though the reader is left to speculate everything is going to be alright.A hollow ending on top of a superficially moral story left me wondering why I bothered to read the book.

Unless you like reading B movies, don't read this. ... Read more

Concise tips and to do list for each month!
The negative review on this book is most unjust.This was not and is not intended to be a picture book.The book gives you excellent tips and chores that need to be done each month.Something I really needed.Guidance on what to take care of for each month of the year and it is broken down by subject:Shrubs, Trees, Perenials, lawns, houseplants, annuals/biennials and a few other categories as well.I highly recommend this for any serious gardener.

I am just beginning to read this book and already have found lots of useful information.I would definitely recommend looking at this book for an overall month by month assistance with planning, planting, pest management, fertilizing, harvesting and storing your harvest.Happy gardening to all!

Disappointed - no pictures!
I was disappointed to find that there are no pictures in this book. I am a visual person and was hoping to see some sample gardens that I could plant in my own yard.I am not familiar enough with all the plants and flowers to know what they look like, what color they are, etc.

Her short fiction is even better.
Anything written by J. Hunter Holly is of interest to me and I was particularly impressed with her short fiction. She can give you thrills and chills and even make you stop and think. I got a good taste of it from "One pagers" back in (Prof.) Deke Randall's class at Michigan State University too many years ago. She and I competed to see whose paper got read but managed to remain good friends.
