Born in Ixelles,Belgium as Audrey Kathleen Ruston, Hepburn spent herchildhood chiefly in the Netherlands, including German- occupied Arnhem, Netherlands, during the Second World War(1939-1945). She studied ballet in Arnhem and then moved toLondon in 1948, where she continued to train in ballet andworked as a photographer's model. She appeared in a handfulof European films before starring in the 1951 Broadway playGigi. Excellent journal
This is a beautiful journal.I don't know what the other reviewer was thinking - but this is obviously a diary - just read the description "160 lined pages" - lined for you to write on.It comes with a lovely silk ribbon marker and the cover is soft and beautiful.

I really wish people wouldn't rate an item low just because they were too lazy to read the desciption and ordered the wrong thing.

I bought this thinking it was a journal of hers, I don't know what I was thinking.Instead I get this beautiful empty book, nothing in it, and I don't write journals, who knows maybe later in life, but when you are a collector, who wants to pay $10.00 plus s/h for empty pages?My mistake but next time I will pay more attention. ...
