Great Book
The novel, Twelve Angry Men, was written by Reginald Rose. Reginald was born in Manhattan. He has also written other plays like Dear Friends and Black Monday. In this book he writes a fictional story about twelve men on jury duty who must decide whether or not a boy is guilty of murdering his father. "Its not easy for me to raise my hand and send a boy off to die without talking about it first" says the eighth juror. This quote shows that the eighth juror is very careful in making decisions. This book is very interesting in how they bring up small details that end up being crucial information. I didn't like how short the book was. I would recommend this book to people who believe in making the right decisions and everyone getting a fair chance. By T.WALKER

I bought this for my niece but did not realize it was a play not a book. She did not like it and has not read it

I teach this play in high school, and students just love it. If you use the book with the movie, they can study the texts and learn a lot about what is the truth and the value of fighting for it and overcoming our laziness. It also explains well the jury system and racism in the 1950s. Overall you teach them a lot about character and a lot about America. The movie is also excellent. ... Read more
