spooky fun!
This collection is a really fun and entertaining read. Because the poems are written by many poets, there's lots of variety.

Some are funny, like "Igor Picks a Pet", "Read at Your Own Risk" (about a poem that curses the reader), "My Date with Mummy", and many more. My daughter laughs out loud at these. Some have a big gross factor (lots of bugs and icky goblins and such). Then others are more sinister, like "Hixon House" (about a haunted house), and "Spooky" (a creepy mood poem). You can almost feel a chill wind blow! There are too many good poems to name. None of them seem over the top or inappropriate. Also, with 44 poems, it's a great length.

I'm really enjoying the collection and it's the perfect thing to get us in the spirit of our favorite holiday, but the poems aren't specific to Halloween and it can be read any time of year.

Oh, and the illustrations (there are black and white spot illustrations inside) are awesome! They compliment the poems perfectly. They have a sort of wood blockish feel.

I absolutely loved this collection of poetry. Perfect for any time of the year, especially for those who prefer a good scare. My kids read from it almost every other day and my 8 year practically has one of the poems memorized. I highly recommend it. ... Read more

Playboy's Blue Collar Babes
Don't be deceived by the front cover!Jennifer is only a narrator in the video!What a ripoff!Last Playboy Video I buy without a preview.Bottom line: Don't waste your hard earned bucks on Playboy videos!

Unless I see it before hand, I won't buy another PB video
Playboy continues its new-found tradition of hiring models other than its own playmates to make its videos.The models in "Blue Collar Babes" are just ok - and very "ethnic".Again, the costumechoices are questionable - I think there are at least 4"construction" theme segments, each one as boring as the last. Furthermore, Playboy seems to be throwing lesbian scenes at us non-stop inits recent videos.That's OK once in a while, but not evry other scene - Note to Playboy: blue collar babes could also include waitresses,secretaries, police officers, office temps, ect..., not just constructionworkers.I couln't believe how univentive these scenes were.

I supposePlayboy either can't afford its own Playmates or won't put them in thesenew lesbian-themed vignettes.But whatever the case, I'm sick of thesecond-rate models, uninventive vignettes/costumes, bad music, lack ofdecent dancing and unoriginality of playboy over the past 3 years. They gotme hooked with "Cheerleaders", "Girls of Radio" andsome of the older stuff they did on their network, but they have grown verytired recently.I'm just not going to buy them until I see them in advance- I can't trust the brand name anymore. ...
