That's how Cynthia Watros describes the emotions she conjures up for her portrayal of unbalanced nurse Annie Dutton Lewis on Guiding Light . "I love Annie," she says emphatically. "I want her to be happy and find love. But she's really insecure. She needs to go to rehab to work on her addictive and obsessive personality." Ironically, when Annie first arrived in Springfield, she'd gotten her alcoholism under control and even realized the love she dreamt of with Josh. That is, until his ex-wife Reva returned from the dead, as Josh's exes are wont to do. (Remember Sonni?) Since then, Annie has found herself on the dirty end of a love triangle, desperately trying to keep her husband from going back to his truelove. Watros observes, "I'm like this piece of thread trying to keep these two hurricanes apart. I've watched Robert (Newman, Josh) and Kim (Zimmer, Reva) doing scenes together, and in the end even I'm thinking 'You guys should kiss!'."
