Check back often to get the complete story. The Addams Family Story The Halloween Reunion of 1977: The Addams Family Movie of 1991: Addams Family Values:The Sequel The Addams Family returned to the theaters in 1993 with Addams Family Values. The cast of the original movie was joined by Joan Cusak as Festers' new wife who is determined to kill him off. Carol Kane replaced Judith Malina in the portrayal of Grandmama. And a new child was introduced. Pubert Pugsley becomes the third child in the Addams Clan and is portrayed by Kaitiyn and Kristen Hooper. The sequel however was a career turning point for Christina Ricci, who recieved most of the major comedic lines in the show. Although not as well received as the first, the movie was still enough of a money maker for Paramount that talk of a third movie was discussed . The death of Raul Julia, in 1994 however, would put to rest any talk of another movie, until 1998.

Extractions: On Friday, October 27th, I made my second trip to the Sheraton Hotel in East Rutherford, New Jersey to attend the October Chiller Theatre Convention (my first visit having been in April). Chiller Theatre is a science fiction, fantasy, and horror convention(with the emphasis on horror) that is held twice a year in New Jersey. The convention is named after "Chiller Theatre", a popular late-night horror movie show that aired in the New York/New Jersey area in the 50's and 60's and was hosted by John Zacherle, an ex-Philadelphia native who is better known by his TV persona of Zacherly, the "Cool Ghoul" (other cities, such as Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, also had shows named Chiller Theatre). The convention is run by Kevin Clement, publisher of a magazine and owner of a "store" (actually more of a storage space for his models, magazines, and other memorabilia) in Hackensack that also bear the name of Chiller Theatre. In addition to myself, the two-car crew going on this road trip consisted of Darryl Mayeski, editor of Screem magazine, Darryl's friend, Mark, Blythe Evans, a friend of both myself and Darryl, and Blythe's girlfriend from Montreal, Julie. At noon on Friday, I showed up at Daryll's house with a wallet full of cash and a knapsack containing a few issues of Screem I had to get back to Darryl, as well as some magazines I wanted autographed by celebrity guests. Blythe and Julie were running late, so Mark, Daryll, and I killed some time watching a bit of Daryll's "Creature of the Black Lagoon" documentary on DVD to get us in the mood for the show. Finally, Blythe and Julie showed up and after a brief stop at Turkey Hill for gas and road munchies, we were on our way.
