The shocking events of 11 September 2001 in the United States drew worldwide attention to the terrorist phenomenon. Confronting Terrorism focuses on terrorism and the struggle against it in Europe: on recent experiences, threat perceptions and the policies of several European countries, including the effects produced by the 11 September attacks.Specialists from Ireland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Greece analyse the development of threat perceptions concerning terrorism and counter-terrorist policy-making in their respective countries. To facilitate comparisons between their findings, they have worked from an identical set of questions. Their chapters are followed by contributions on relevant policy-making and decisions in the European Union, and on the European input in United Nations policy-making processes. A summary of main conclusions and recommendations is also presented. ... Read more

Domestic and international terrorism increases and tactics escalate. Terrorists may use unconventional weapons of mass destruction, HAZMATs such as liquefied chlorine gas. Few have studied the societal effects of such an event. While the field of hazards research includes risk, exposure, vulnerability, and environmental equity associated with accidental releases of HAZMATs, until very recently the field has neglected the potential for a deliberate release by terrorists. Egan brings together considerations of terrorism's potential targets and probable consequences and hazards research. She provides a four-phase Terrorscape Analysis Model for analyzing the spatial distribution of risk, exposure, vulnerability, and environmental equity. ... Read more

This book presents a critical portrait of the British police through a detailed ethnography of their work at football matches. Megan O'Neill not only sheds light on a topic of intense media interest, football hooliganism, but also presents the police in a totally fresh perspective. By using the work of Erving Goffman, she demonstrates how the police are a far from unified force. Their informal interaction "teams" divide them operationally and socially.

Product Description
When he decided to compile Warriors in 2004, Loren W. Christensen identified 37 of the finest warrior authors, warrior trainers and warrior scholars around, and asked them to tell in their own words what being a warrior meant to them. The original contributors came from a diverse mix of fellow warriors, from soldiers, cops and SWAT officers to martial art masters to experts in the fields of workplace violence, theology, and school safety.

Warriors struck a chord among readers all over the country. Reviewers praised the book for providing insight into why, when something bad happens, a few people - the warriors among us - run toward the danger while the majority of us run away. Along with the praise, Christensen also received recommendations for other warriors who should be included in the book. So he decided to expand the book to include the following warriors:

  • Kit Cessna, a retired U.S. Army officer who served with C-Squadron Delta and 2nd Ranger Battalion, and who was part of the SWAT response in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
  • 1st Sgt. Mark Deutsch, who served in Operations Desert Storm, Provide Comfort, and Iraqi Freedom III, during which he and his unit conducted more than 800 combat operations.
  • Mark Mireles, a two-time recipient of the Medal of Valor, the highest award for bravery given by the Los Angeles Police Department.
  • Maj. Matthew Hing, a flight surgeon and Airborne infantry physician who currently is serving as the Task Force Eagle surgeon in Afghanistan.
  • Richard R. McGovern Sr., a combat veteran with both Operations Iraqi Freedom and Desert Storm.
  • Jennifer Fulford, an officer with the Orange County (Florida) Sheriff's Department, who was shot 10 times in the line of duty in 2004 while trying to protect a young child.

All these warriors speak candidly on what it's like to sacrifice, to train, to fear, to protect ... even to kill ... to accomplish what needs to be done. These warriors don't run and call 9-1-1; they are 9-1-1!. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great!!!!!!!
I really enjoy this book. It is easy to read, and has great humor. I would strongly recommend this book to all Officer's whose primary responsibility is street patrol.

4 STARS ****

4-0 out of 5 stars Great info.
Chapters are short and to the point.
I disagree with the others when they say they feel this book is best for beginners. I feel this book is better for those who have been on the job for 5 or more years. I say this because nearly everything covered are things taught in the academy (at least the one I graduated from). Therefore, this would be a good refresher for those who have been on the job for awhile and may have forgotten some of the academy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Advice, Great Review of Training
I found this book to be a great review of things learned in police training. As a new officer, I found much of the information to be very helpful. It's like a book of advice from a cop that seems to have been there and done that. After reading this book, I feel like I'm on track to having a long, successful career as a cop.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best book I've read related to the job
Quite simply, its the only book I've ever read outside of college on my personal time that I've taken notes from for my own application to work.Worth reading and keeping.I highly suggest it for future and current officers. It's best geared for the future, or rookie officers. But veterans can get great tips out of it too.

3-0 out of 5 stars Practical advise for beginners and experienced cops alike
The author is well-known tactics instructor: his previous works include Contact & Cover, a fundamental book on officer survival, which he co-wrote with John Morrison. He has extensive experience as a street cop, so the advise you get from this book are field-tested throughly.

The book is comprised from over 50 articles which have been published in a police magazine before(San Diego Police Officers Association publication 'The Informant'). This approach is a two-edged sword. On the other hand this book covers a wide variety of issues, but on the other hand, because most articles are only about 3-4 pages long, the advise you get is quite basic in nature. This creates a problem that the more experience you have on police work, the less useful this book is for you. However, no matter how expeirenced you are, you are still likely to learn something new, or are at least reminded of something that you have forgotten a long time ago.

The articles have been arranged in a alphabetical orded according to the title of the article. In my opinion, it would have been wiser to group the articles by the subject they are covering. Now you get a chapter on avoiding blood-transmitted diseases, followed by article about court survival, followed by article on ground fighting, and so on. And, to make things worse, sometimes it is surprisingly hard to tell what a given article is covering just by the name. So, if you are looking for advise on certain subject, it can be hard to find the right article, if you don't know the name of the article.

Another complaint is that the book is printed in a font that is a bit too small to my taste. It's not too small to read, but if you want to make sidenotes or underlinings to the book (which I like to do), it can be hard because the size of the text.

To sum it up, I would say that for a novice cop, this book is a treasure chest, but experienced cops will benefit from reading it also. ... Read more

Product Description
"Many Americans still believe that terrorism plagues only other nations, places such as Jerusalem and Beirut, Belfast and London, Tokyo and Paris, Berlin and Bogotá. Not here, not in the United States, they think. Their perception is dead wrong." —from the Introduction

An enemy with a thousand faces has declared war on the United States, and the fighting has already commenced. The battlefields are neither deserts nor tropical jungles, but office buildings, hotels, churches, airports, and even quiet suburban streets. The enemy soldiers, rarely in uniform, are virtually invisible.

The war is terrorism and, as the Oklahoma City and World Trade Center bombings have so chillingly shown, it is unlike any other threat the United States has ever encountered. In this riveting frontline report, renowned counterterrorism expert Louis R. Mizell tells the inside story of the escalating terrorist war in America. Drawing on his firsthand experience as an intelligence officer with the U.S. State Department, Mizell details the methods, the motives, and the tactics of extremist groups and individuals while revealing the big picture that most of the media either misses or ignores.

Target U. S. A. is a vivid, fast-paced narrative filled with chilling accounts of terrorist acts from around the country. Mizell paints a hardhitting portrait of a once shielded society that is no longer a safe haven. The facts are documented, disturbing, and alarming: Puerto Rican terrorists planted a bomb in a New York tavern, killing five; Sikh terrorists systematically assassinated targets in the Midwest; a team of Libyan terrorists set up a secret training camp in Colorado; and Croatian terrorists committed scores of violent acts that were reported as street crime. Shocking you-are-there accounts expose undercover terrorist actions at universities, hotels, restaurants, and banks, as well as brazen, broad daylight assassination attempts on political leaders.

Using professional sources unavailable to most researchers, Mizell provides up-to-date information on established foreign and domestic groups, new emerging operations, and current targets, trends, and tactics in terrorism —information the general public never sees. Particularly provocative is his report on how many unpublicized terrorist operations occur almost daily on American soil, often appearing as routine bank robberies or gun shop burglaries.

With special access to interrogation reports, confiscated documents, and other previously untapped confidential materials, Mizell supplies profiles of terrorists —the nationalists, the ideologues, the religious zealots, and the unaffiliated loners —that will change the way you read the news.

If it is true that the best defense of democracy is an informed citizenry, Target U. S. A. is urgent, compelling, and essential reading for all Americans.

"Shattering the talking-head world of touchie-feelie pseudoacademics and wannabe counterterrorists, Lou Mizell's ground-level lessons from the real world give us an accurate, frightening look at some of the world's most resourceful, enterprising, and deadly terrorists. Mizell is a warrior who has put his life on the line, and his experience can help teach us how to survive these nasty, nasty times." —John Weisman, author of the New York Times bestselling Rogue Warrior series.

"Mizell writes from his own experience, which is the stuff of suspense fiction, except it's all real. We all need to pay attention to what he has to say before it's too late."—Mark Olshaker, novelist and coauthor of Mindhunter and Journey into Darkness.

"Effective security depends upon good intelligence. Lou Mizell understands this better than anyone. He has smelled the cordite and walked amidst the shattered glass and shattered lives. Every reader could learn from Lou's experience." —Donald E. Moss, Deputy Chief, NYPD, Retired Former Chief of Bronx Detectives.

"Target U. S. A. provides essential knowledge of domestic terrorist activities for all law enforcement personnel. Lou Mizell has provided a spellbinding summary of the current threat to our nation. This book is a must read." —Lieutenant Colonel Matt Tyszka, Connecticut State Police. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A GREAT introductory tool
Written in 1998, Mr. Mizell provides context and a greater level of understanding of the unfortunate incidents of September 11, 2001. Written from a great degree of personal experience with the sorts of individuals and groups that have sought and continue to threaten our country, the author provides chilling details of the sinister tactics that are employed.
To quote a previous reviewer "This book does open your eyes and lets the reader know that there is a lot more happening on our sovern soil than we realize."

3-0 out of 5 stars Has validity, lacks meat but that is understandable.
This book does open your eyes and lets the reader know that there is a lot more happening on our sovern soil than we realize. I would have like to have read more specifics on detection, tactics, and MO.But consideringthe limit of information that could be provided to the public for the sakeof National Security'Target USA' could be a good introductory tool forreaders just getting into the counter/antiterrorism field or for someonewho just wants to get their feet wet.

1-0 out of 5 stars This book has no substance and is mostly a chronology .
There seems to be no INSIDE STORY told here. Little more than what you would read in a newspaper. Evidently the arthur is bound by some Government legal oath which prevents him from writing anything of consequence. A pieceof milk toast. ... Read more

Product Description
"When I first came on the Portland PD," says Officer Loren Christensen, "skid row was a Wild West show nearly as insane as Saigon, where I had just spent a year. Its wine-soaked streets were teeming with drunks, dopers, jackrollers, pimps, crazies, fighters and killers, all crammed into a filthy 12-square-block area where violence was an hourly event and death loomed nearly every bloody night." In this book, Christensen offers a rare curbside glimpse into the gritty urban world of skid row. A colorful tribute to the cops who have worked skid row as well as the characters who have lived there. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars As real as it gets
A two word phrase can sum up my opinion of Loren Christensen's book, Reality Check. This book's look at what life is like on skid row is an in your face description of what some people have to go through each and everyday. At times I found myself laughing out loud, and others weeping outloud, all with the realization that this was not fiction, it was truth.InChristensen's classic literary genius, he was able to not only capture myattention and mind, but my heart as well.

5-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down
Reading the stories in SKID ROW BEAT is like eating potato chips: you can't stop after just one. I was moved emotionally, sickened and then forced to laugh out loud. Read this book. It's a winner

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredibly funny, poignant and gross
I loved this book and so has everyone I have lent it to. I laughed, was moved and disgusted all in the same story. It's an incredible revelation of the human condition. The anecdotes, which range from one to four pageslong, chronicle events from the 70's and 80's, as well as a few recentincidents, in an area one officer in the book called, "A placeforgotten by God."

Policing was indeed different back then, and ifyou've been around long enough, this curb side look at skid row will haveyou laughing and saying to yourself, "Oh yea, I remember that."Like any good story teller, Christensen has woven some tales together andmodified some he could not other wise have told.

While Loren lived mostof these stories, other officers contributed a few. Some of the anecdotesare so disgusting that you will have to put the book down, though a shorttime later you will want to pick it up and resume where you left off. Thereare four chapters: Characters, Sex, Violence and Bodily Excretions, andLoren says there are several stories that could have fit into all of them.He says that Skid Row Beat is not for the easily offended, the overlypolitically correct, or those who view community policing as a religiousexperience. The tales run the gamut from absolutely hilarious, tostomach-turning gross, to poignant. One story will offend, another willmove you, and another you will retell to your friends. Skid Row Beat isa quick read and I suspect more than one copy will find its way into the"library" next to the porcelain throne where one can read a storyor two, put the book down and pick it up the next time you are making avisit.

This book reflects a time before "politically correct"was even a thought, much less a phrase.Times were different, and afterreading the book you can only reflect that we have come a long way sincethe days when it was still a crime to be drunk in public, and the beat copwas expected to "take care of business" on his district. Many ofthe skid row beat cops were street monsters who were tough as nails on theoutside, but with hearts bigger than all of outdoors. ... Read more

Customer Reviews (3)

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't bother
For many of the criminal cases, I was not sure that I was reading non-fiction.Specifically, I do not know why Alt and Wells refer to many criminals and field experts by their first name and last initial only.We do not refer to Ted Bundy as Ted B.Also, the book has a high concentration of Colorado criminal cases. For example, much of the information about women who commit crimes against men seems the same as information on a particular web site: Domestic Violence Against Men In Colorado - Chapter 15 -- Women Who Have Killed Their Partners In Colorado.I expected a book with a national or global perspective.

The authors annoyingly repeat that so many women habitually make poor choices and that is why they are harmed, battered, end up with alcoholic partners, etc. They also make a point of stating females work the system and obtain light sentences, if any. However, they later contradict themselves by citing numerous cases in which women received much longer sentences than men did - even when the females' crimes were much less severe.

If it weren't for the subject matter, the reading level and the unnecessary summaries would have convinced me that the target audience is considerably younger than adult.

1-0 out of 5 stars biased
I have to agree with the prior review. It very poorly written. You can see the authors bias' from very early on in the book, even though they appear to be trying to do a book on facts. In the work the author draws a picture of abused women as ignorants who had many choices available to them. As a women who has never been in an abusive relationship i still understand that this is not always the case. There are also multiple "facts" in the book that have been disputed by historians as myths. If the author doesn't know whats going on then maybe they shouldn't be writing a book about it and presenting it to the public as truth.

1-0 out of 5 stars Jumps around more than a Black Widow spider on a hot plate
Wicked Women - Black Widows, Child Killers, and Other Women In Crime by Betty Alt and Sandra Wells is poorly written, unfocused and overly researched to the point of tediousness.Long on footnotes, but strangely short on facts and vague on dates and places, this book is almost unreadable.Oddly, Alt and Wells seem to blame men for the wicked turn that women take. You are better off reading Mistresses of Mayhem: The Book of Women Criminals by Francine Hornberger or Look For the Woman by Jay Robert Nash if you want to read a comprehensive book about female criminals. It is a wonder how this book found a publisher. ... Product Description
Veteran police officer Michael Conti presents the first complete coverage of chemical agents and equipment from the perspective of a street cop. In one comprehensive volume, readers can quickly and easily find pertinent information about modern chemical agents, how they are deployed, their effects and state-of-the-art protective gear. It includes the most common chemical agent weapons (from OC spray to gas launchers to thermal fogging systems), specialty impact munitions and military-class chemical agent weapons (from blood and blister agents to deadly nerve agents), as well as a concise history of their development and use. This allows the reader to better understand the role these devices have played in the past and the role they may play in the coming years, both by law enforcement agencies and terrorist organizations. This is a must-read for law enforcement, military and security personnel, or anyone with a responsibility for, or concern about, the use of chemical agents. Especially timely now is the section on how to ensure personal safety in the event of a chemical attack. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Really good book from someone who knows
Always looking for new books on this subject as they are few and far between. This book is written by a cop who knows the business. Really like the way its written, funny at times as well as informatove, good read actually enjoyed what can be dry material. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well done book
Have read thru this book 2x now just got it a while ago. I like the way everything is laid out in a logical progression. Plenty of photographs, very clear, shows a lot of close ups. It is hard to find good material on this subject except for some of the early stuff like Applegate's book and Tear Gas Munitions by Swaerengen. Those books are dated though, this one is up to date.
Plenty of info!!! The pepper spray chapter is worth the price alone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great reference source!
Great source of material about this subject. Everything is covered and in great detail. Not just another book listing manufacturer's info, but includes the history of the products as well - interesting reading and great photos (old historical and new photos). Chapter on gas masks makes things clear as well. ... Read more

Product Description
Many people in America think that gang violence is concentrated in the inner cities of New York, Los Many people in America think that gang violence is concentrated in the inner cities of New York, Los Angeles and other isolated metropolitan areas. They are mistaken, says Loren Christensen, a veteran Portland, Oregon, gang-enforcement officer. After completing Skinhead Street Gangs, Christensen went back to the streets to see what's happening with gangs, and what he found scared the hell out of him! He found that gangs are everywhere and are here to stay - in the big cities and small towns, in the suburbs and the rural areas, on both coasts and in the heartland. His research also showed that gangs are equal-opportunity destroyers. Their members - and victims - are white, black, Hispanic and Asian. His most disturbing discovery was that gangs are nastier than ever. Ten years ago gangbangers fought with fists, clubs and pistols. Now they have lots of incredible firepower, and they don't think twice about using it. Here, Christensen lets gang members, former gang members and street cops tell you in their own words how gangbangers think, why they are so violent, who they target and what (if anything) can be done to curb the growth of gangs in America. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Chilling...
Gangs are not only ubiquitous but growing, becoming more pervasive and deadlier despite society's best efforts to stamp them out. The author interviews current and former gang members, law enforcement officers, school officials, lawyers, social workers, and other experts to provide chilling insight into the minds of those who join street gangs. A quick and easy read, this provocative book provides terrific insight into gang culture and etiquette. Respect, reputation, and revenge are integral to gang life. For example, the "commandments of the 'hood" include: thou shalt handle thy business, get girls, get respect, get thy money on, carry a gat (gun), and be down for thy homeboy right or wrong, and thou shalt not snitch. This book is a fascinating and worthwhile read.

3-0 out of 5 stars I did want to enjoy this book
...however, it actually made me quite pissed after the first two chapters.

I've always been interested in people that live very different lives than I do. The question I keep hunting for the answer to is WHY. Why have they become what they are, why are they thinking the way they do, why do they seem to have totally different values - in general, what makes them what they are? So, this book sounded like the right one for me.

Instead, it made me rather pissed. Mr. Christensen divides his book into chapters according to the racial background of different gangs. The first chapter is about gangs in general, about the basic forces behind a gangbanger's actions. The next two chapters are about black and Hispanic gangs. Now, what you get in the first three chapters is basically the SAME pieces of information repeated over and over again. You even get the very same testimonies by nameless bangers in the different subsections.

Since the author used to be a police officer himself and dealt with bangers, I did expect a lot more detailed, first person experiences - especially because most of the facts he collects about gangs in his book are only new to those that never tried to understand bangers' "deadly minds"... never even googled "street gangs". That is the reason I'm giving this book 3 stars after all - it could be a starting point for a newbie.

In the next two chapters he writes about white and Asian gangs, so at least there is some new information there compared to the continuous repetition in the first three chapters. However, it doesn't seem too professional at all for him to beging chapter four (about white gangs) with an intro STRICTLY about how to get his other book (which he "humbly believes is the most complete book on the subject"... eh) - he will even give you a complete URL.

There's a few photos scattered all over the book, but they don't do any good, since they are extremely blurry. There are ones that are supposed to show gang tattoos or hang signals and one can hardly make out the person's body at all.

If you make it to chapter six "Facts and Fiction about Youth Gangs", dividing chapters according to ethnicity will seem even more senseless than before. As a Fact Mr. Christensen states, "So-called black gangs are no longer all black, Hispanic gangs are more and more mixed with whites and blacks, and many Southeast Asian gangs are now a mix of Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian, Hmong and even whites".

He hardly mentions female bangers and pretty much skips initiations, too.

So, this book is not going to give you some deep insight. However, if you're looking for some BASIC information on what gangs are about, you might enjoy it.

This is the best and most complete book on street gangs I have read. Much of it is in the voices of gang members, police officers and others who work with gangbangers.

The book left me afraid and wondering if there is anyhope for tha gang problem that has infected virtually every city in thecountry.

I highly recommend this book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My own expericnes confirm this
I come from Russia, where we have Gypsies also. They do the same things as described by Marlock's book, except that instead of stealing cars, they would steal horses in the older times.

The book is very helpful, as crooks try to create artificial situations that confuse the marks, so being a little prepared would help dealing with them immensely.

All the negative reviews seem to be motivated by motives other than merits of Marlock's book.

1-0 out of 5 stars How to exploit the Gypsy stereotype to fuel Xenophobia
Gypsy, gypsy, Rom, Sinti, Romany, Romani, Gypsies; have been persecuted and slaughtered since medieval times, right alongside of the Jews. Even after the bitter lesson of the Holocaust, Roma are still being persecuted at the same level as medieval times.Roma homes are torched, their families are frequently roused from their sleep by angry torch and club wielding xenophobic mobs, who force Gypsy women and children to flee into the night, those that can't run fast enough are beaten, some to death, or set on fire. This isn't a scene from Kristallnacht - this is occurring right now, all over the world! Roma are currently (2009) experiencing a humanitarian crisis, they are victims of racial hysteria and xenophobia, that is fueled by the world wide financial crisis. Perpetuating a dehumanizing stereotype that dictates any people to be genetically inferior, or predisposed to be of degenerate and subhuman character is inaccurate, and cruel. The psychological damage of this type of marginalization, abuse and oppression trickles down onto Roma/Gypsy/gypsy children. Words hurt, so does xenophobic violence, bullying, taunting, shunning, constant debasing and berating. Such violent abuse of any people, especially their children who have to suffer the fall out, should not be tolerated. Mr. Marlock is out of step with the times. The state of the world is in crisis. This is not the time to incite more violence, xenophobia, mass hysteria, racism and intolerance. The fact is: Con Artists come from all ethnic, cultural and racial backgrounds. Sadly, it appears that Mr. Marlock is unable to stimulate interest in his crime prevention books, without exploiting the false criminality of the Gypsy stereotype. This shames all of us!

1-0 out of 5 stars The larger truth
People of all groups, ethnicities, religions, and races commit cons, steal, and such.To paint a whole ethnic group, Gypsies (Romani folk) with the same broad brush as the few among them who commit crimes is no more valid than to call all whites "oven tenders" because of the Holocaust or call all corporate officers "embezzlers" because of Enron or to call all men as rapists because a few have done so.These sorry characterizations merely illustrate how twisted the slanderer's own views are.

While the grain of truth is that some people of all groups might con other people, the larger truth is that all groups have their share of criminals and no group has a monopoly on virtue.

Marlock clearly has written a book that is quite racist and wrong in spite of the grain of truth that some few people are indeed criminals.

Marlock tries to cover his tail by saying that he does not mean "all" Romani folk but then he goes on to make it quite clear that means "virtually all" but can't say so, without legal liability issues. It's pure CYA and then he goes on and on with his racist slanders.

Yes, cons do exist and this book describes many of them. No, they are not "Gypsy crimes" but just crimes and are committed by people of all ethnicities.Too bad he doesn't just stick to describing the crimes and never mind discussing his racial hatreds.

Marlock's agenda is clear. If he only wanted to protect innocents from crimes, he would not focus on a single very-small group of people. The number of Romani people in this world is miniscule compared to the number of criminals in the world so his focus on Gypsies illustrates his true agenda here is merely to demonize a tiny, relatively-defenseless group of people. The Furer's Reichspropagandaleiter Minister Dr. Goebbels would be proud of Marlock as one of their own, I am sure.

5-0 out of 5 stars Truth telling at it's best
I must say I am appalled at the negative feedback on this book, and can only deduce that these reviews are written by those of whom this book speaks!Granted not ALL people of any ethnic race or population are bad, Dennis is simply exposing a behind the scenes multi-billion dollar business that just so happens to be run by the Gypsy culture. The stories in here are true and not fabrications. I have had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Marlock and listening to him speak. He is a very knowledgeable individual who has certainly done his homework and knows exactly what he is talking about. I highly doubt Mr. Marlock is making millions on this, it seems to be his passion, his life's work to get the word out there so less innocent people fall victim to such cruel crimes. The honest people work hard for their money legitimately, and no one should be allowed to just take it away. To all the scam artists out there, spend less time writing bad reviews and go get an education and a real job!
Dennis, continue the great work! You are doing society a favor by showing us what we might not see on our own!

5-0 out of 5 stars Scaming the truth?
The disparaging reveiws about this book, to me, can mean only one thing: there are people out there who don't want the truth to be told. Is there such a thing as the Gypsy Mafia? Yes. Are they costing all of us by perpetuating their very lucrative scams? Yes.

Do those involved want you to read this book? No!Why? Because if we don't they exist we won't see them coming.

This is not a racist book and only those with an agenda would see it as one.
