Indigenous Names of the Tonga of Zambia
This book is a result of field surveys alongside theoretical translating of a large variety of personal names of the Tonga people of Southern Zambia. It would be worthwhile to subject numerous other African groups to such onomastic research. Such, as Tembo's book exemplifies, yield excellent results. Importantly, Tembo's research was done at the local level, whereby the interviewers and the researchers were of the indigenous local population.
