Great sequel
Dave's sequel to Reckless Faith continues a unique sci fi tale.It's a great read and the story moves along very well.I like fantasy/sci fi that has ongoing story possibilities.This book is in the space opera genre of Star Wars and I predict Dave's continuing saga will be a hit once the word starts getting around.It's a fun read and hard to put down.

Excellent sequel and good setup for book 3
Critically, the thing I enjoyed the most about this book is that the characters developed more uniquely into their own personalities.To some extent the prequel had fewer character dilemmas in it, and this book provided fertile ground to explore the character personalities more.

Once again, the plot moves in a smooth flow that keeps the pages turning right up to the end.I admit a bit of dismay at reaching the end of the book knowing I'll have to wait for book 3!In keeping with the first book, this is the kind of stuff that good sci-fi is made of.Why oh why can't Hollywood pick-up something creative like this instead of remaking a remake?!

This builds upon the foundation laid down in Reckless Faith very nicely.The characters develop measurably, and the introduction of alien races is handled with some familiarity consistent with the genre with a few touches unique to this author.

All in all... I am left waiting (in a good way) for book 3.

Get it.Read it.Enjoy some fun sci-fi!

a good continuation of Reckless Faith's story

If you haven't read Reckless Faith you should do so before reading this book. Reckless faith was a good first novel and I am satisfied with its sequel. The action sequences are done well and occur often enough to keep the story from dragging. Although the main characters don't get equal time in the spotlight none of them are neglected. The only real flaw I noticed was that the dialogue was sometimes stiff, but that may have been intentional to show lack of comfort between certain characters
Overall the story was entertaining and kept me looking forward to what would happen next. The author left just enough loose ends for a sequel and I plan to buy the next book when it comes out.
