It will be informed by the Charles A. Dana Centers work on education policy. By the end of this policy research project, students will: The project for the fall semester will involve preparing briefing materials for a January 2003 workshop for legislative staff on pressing education policy issues facing the 78th Texas Legislature. In the fall semester this PRP will otherwise function like a seminar and will feature guest lectures from Texas policymakers and technical experts. In the spring semester, besides staffing the pre-session workshop, students will have the opportunity to work together on education policy issues in the context of an internship with a legislative committee, state office, or state agency.
