On the Way Home
Interesting book for fans of Laura Wilder "Little House"books as it's her actual diary of the trip from South Dakota to Mansfield, Missouri where she ended up living the rest of her life.Gives a good picture of traveling and life at the end of the 19th Century.

The book contains a forward and afterward by her daughter that provides additional details.

Cancelled Order on This Book, Yet You Charged Me and Sent It!!!!!
This book was entered by mistake yesterday when I placed my online order, and I quickly took steps to cancel this book within the 30-minute time limit.However, you placed this one order, debited my checking account, and are sending it to the individual at the address listed.If you aren't going to honor a customer's cancellation, why put it as an option online?????I DID order "West from Home:Letters of Laura Ingalls Wilder...." and directed that it be sent to the individual at the address I listed.

What are you going to do about rectifying the cancelled book ("On the Way Home:The Diary of a Trip from South Dakota to Mansfield, Missouri, in 1894") order, and debiting my account for it?????This experience makes me NEVER want to order on Amazon.com again!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful Book!
Although it is nothing like the Little House series, it is very interesting to continue to learn more about Laura's life.

Worth reading for the introduction!
This Laura Ingalls Wilder diary is somewhat dull in parts, but the introduction by her daugher, Rose Wilder Lane, is worth the price of the book.Lane gives a first-hand account of the days before and after the journey that puts Laura in a new light.There are also several good photographs unavailable in other LHOTP books. ... South Dakota has a lot going for it, and this book will show you and your students what.
