Our meetings are on the first Thursday of each month except for July and August when we escape to our favorite cruising spots. The monthly meetings are a popular event which includes a social hour at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. and the program at 8:00 p.m. The programs are selected to be informative and interesting for powerboaters. The monthly meetings are a great way to meet fellow powerboaters. Cruising events are a big part of our Powerboat Committee. Committee volunteers contribute time each year to make sure that these events are planned and organized to be great fun for all. Powerboat events include the chili cook-off, garlic festival, golf cruises, powerboat rendezvous, gourmet dinner cruise, and the annual fishing derby. Plan on attending these popular events and participate in making them great fun for everyone. If you would like to volunteer your time to help with an event, please call the club Front Desk. In addition to the cruising events and activities, the Log Race Sub-committee is active throughout the year with predicted log racing and the annual log racing classes. The classes are a great way to improve your navigation skills and provide a great introduction to predicted log racing. If you haven't gone through the program, you should check it out. The Seattle Yacht Club has an experienced race team, always ready to help new racers get involved in the program. Try it - you'll find it to be lots of fun.
