This is a combination lecture, lab, and field course which will emphasize the recognition of major families in the flora of Lebanon. The course has the following components: lecture, lab, field trips, exams, and collection. Lectures will review the basic structure of vascular plants and also review the principles of plant taxonomy. Most of the course will center on a review of families. Laboratory sessions will parallel lecture topics, stressing the structure of plants and the characters of families.
