From the supplier: Joe Dunne, supervisor of computers and technology for Howell Township Public Schools, Howell, NJ, found that the hardest part of installing 48 PaceMark Technologies Inc IIeasy Print printer-sharing cards was in removing the back covers of the Apple IIgs computers. Dunne found that four computers and one printer could be connected in five minutes with practice. The cards were employed as an alternative to networking the computers in the eight K-8 school computer labs. The district wanted to avoid using A/B switch boxes to control printer sharing as the boxes were often misused. The township has joined MECC in 1989 because of the site licensing program available for the company's software. Some 34 of the company's curriculum programs are currently implemented in Howell. Dunne discovered the PaceMark cards in the MECC, Etc catalog. Installation of the cards means that teachers do not have to coordinate the printing of each student's work from stand-alone stations.
