Product Description
Karma is a misunderstood word. It symbolizes many things to many people. It is a complex topic. Many feel that it is more than a cosmic form of punishment founded on a simplistic eye-for-an-eye morality. Multifaceted as the psyche itself, karma is both a web of self-related psychic forces (the fabric of our veil of individuality_ and the guiding hand that provides the lessons which point the way beyond illusion--the illusion that binds us to a self that suffers. Karma is a web of intrigue; karma is also the pointer of the Way. Charles Breaux demonstrates the dynamics of karma in many case studies. Included are life readings to show myriad ways that behavioral and pyschological aberrations are developed and carried over from life to life. Examples of past life therapy sessions elaborate methods for unraveling the web of karma. He explores the karmic intricacies of souls from other dimensions and core characteristics stemming from the birth of the soul and its seperation from a "twin soul." He discusses the process of psychological unfoldment and its spiritual goal, and provides striking reflections on key karmic themes that relate to the human race. ... Read more

Product Description
An uplifting collection of spiritually illuminating texts and powerfully thought-provoking real life stories, showing death as an integral part of life. Modern medical advances have resulted in death and dying becoming a taboo, which leaves us isolated when the inescapability of death touches our lives. These touching observations of closeness to someone who is dying, and personal accounts of near-death experiences and after-death communication, illustrate how coming to terms with the inevitability of death is actually a life-affirming experience. These emotionally evocative and inspirational narratives address timeless questions and show each of the people featured has come to understand that death teaches us that the preciousness of life must be lived with a sense of purpose and meaning, as a celebration of our existence. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars NOT FOR CHRISTIAN READING
This book runs the gamete of philosophies from new age to witchcraft, and if it weren't for the 3 or 4 good short stories, the book would not be worth the paper it's printed on. This book is exactly what the Bible warns Christians about; if you know your Bible and read this patchwork of philosophies, you will understand my strong critique.

My copy goes in the trash, I would not want to be responsible for leading anyone astray.

5-0 out of 5 stars shedding light & awareness on conscious living & dying
AnnaMaria lends her insight, wisdom & research to this map of conscious living & dying.
Her spiritual awareness is woven throughout & helps to create a meditative
state of awarenessfor the reader to incorporate into their life at this time of transition & change.
Meditation for Everyday Living
As a transpersonal therapist/healer I really appreciate AnnaMaria's insight & research and feel her book is very valuable whether in a life transition or the ultimate transition of dying & death.

5-0 out of 5 stars inspiring and enlightend work

This is a must read for all that do hospice, social, and counceling work.
True stories that inspire hope, love and understanding into the continuum of life.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Cycle of Life
For anyone searching for answers about the meaning of life and curious to understand what death means in this context - this is the perfect source book. Annamaria Hemingway opens up our awareness into understanding how death helps us to appreciate life in a far more meaningful way and illustrates this fact through deeply moving and inspirational stories. The text material that accompanies the stories draws on a wealth of hstorical, philosophical and mythic perspectives that make fascinating reading. The book also demonstrates how letting go of our fear of death gives us the opportunity to consider the strong possibility that death may only be a transition into another form of consciousness. A wonderful book that I highly recommend.

4-0 out of 5 stars Essential for Transition Coaches: and all who have questionsaboutdeath and dying
My Four Stars is ringing the top bell in My library. So think 5. I work with the dying and their families daily. This is a very well researched and documented book on death and dying. A compilation of lives touched by personal loss and continuity of conciousness experienced. It should be in everyones library. I teach several classes on line about concious death and dying, for a private university. I have Annamaria's book listed as a " Required Text" for all my current classes. In my private practice, I take it along to clients homes. It often helpsbereaved family members find solace. Also an excellent book for those who wonder "what comes next" and for those who question "if awareness continues after the body dies". I was especially impressed with the integrity and ethical character of Ms. Hemmiingway's book. It is well organized and can be read in parts or sections; especially important for those facing loss. In active grief we can only absorb information in "sound bites" or " one story at a time". This book fullfills that requirement! Uplifting and Solid. A great book for everyone including those interested in the study of Neath Death Experiences.

1-0 out of 5 stars LOL...Don't Stop...Please don't stop!! (complete BULL)
This book is absoluutely ridiculous and it was appaling to read about one man's claim that he was "in hell" when he was dying and was in a 'panic like a panic of never before' and the author had to resusitate him back to life (the man probably had a mass delusion and thought he was in hell due to him being very close to death than him ACTUALLY being in hell).

This book is for fundamentalist christian propaganda designed to scare people into accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior (even some of those won't be saved from Maurice Rawling's or Bill Weise's "hell")! I am apalled at the people who actually gave this book 5 stars and find comfort in knowing that they will go to heaven while a vast majority will go to hell like the author said. I don't think Maurice Rawling's is a good honest christian man and I won't be surprised if he ends up in his own self created hell when he dies...

5-0 out of 5 stars Beyond Death's Door
Great book - I highly recommend it for Christians and nonChristians alike.Shows Heaven and Hell are real just like Jesus said!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best book on near death I've read.
I have read a few other books by other authors, and by far this is the best I've read. I liked this book because the information comes from an MD who was witness to many of the cases in his book. I also liked how the book was written; the other books I've read were very simple in language, and in one case apologetic; what I mean by this is, the author was very afraid of receiving criticism for his research. Dr. Rawlings on the other hand stated firmly what he heard and saw, and he's a Christian.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome book about near death experiences!!
This book should convince anyone that there is truly life after death and how very imperative it is to prepare ourselves now, to face God and give an account of our deeds performed in this life, before it's too late.It also demonstrates that the Holy Bible, which has withstood throughout the annals of time, is our road map to truth.Excellent reading!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Caution! This book will change your life!
My sister read this book back in 1980. A few months after she read it, she died from a blood clot at the age of 19. At her funeral I heard stories from her co-workers, friends and family members about how Sandy had changed after she read this book and that she told everyone that she was going to go to heaven when she died and that she believed in Jesus. She had been into a lot of trouble and had a hard time finding her way in life until she read this book. A friend of mine came to see me after my sister died and she couldn't believe how calm and peaceful my family was after losing Sandy. She had recently moved out from he husband and was having a hard time with her life. I told her to read this book and she did and it changed her life. She went back to her husband and they are still married to this day. They started going to church together and even ended up teaching couple classes in the church together. GET THIS BOOK! IT WILL BE WORTH IT! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Beyond the Light: What Isn't Being Said About Near-Death Experince: from Visions of Heaven to Glimpses of Hell
I highly recommend this book as the standard in Near-Death Studies. Not only is it well documented but written in a style that is easy to comprehend with a fresh new look at four types of Near-death experiences. Near-Death Experiencers (NDErs), Spiritually Transformative Experiencers (STErs), researchers, and anyone interested in helping experiencers understand and integrate the physiological, psychological and spiritual aftereffects of such experiences, this book is invaluable.Dr. Atwater has received awards and accolades for her work in Near-Death Studies and lectured around the world.Reading this book is like having a conversation with a knowledgeable friend who is helping us understand a "homework" assignment on the Near-Death Experience. Enjoy!

1-0 out of 5 stars Written to push her own agenda
After reading many other books on Near Death Experiences, I came to the conclusion that this book was very biassed in its presentation. 75% of other books on near death experiences tell about people who had met Jesus at the end of a tunnel. He was as an immense light of love. He introduced himself and talked to them before they had to return to their bodies. There were also experiences of people taken to hell and came back to life to tell about it. This book had an agenda to promote, the occult. It doesn't tell the whole story on near death experiences, only the views of her occult movement. Not worth wasting your time reading.

5-0 out of 5 stars A pleasure to read
I enjoyed this work tremendously and found it inspiring and honest.I can see how many would rather have a feel good - everything was wonderful approach to the NDE, but I would prefer the good and the bad.Everyone gets the experience they need or have earned - which is the bottom line message of this book.I can see how the author generated controversy with her experiences, but I found her writing tremendously interesting and useful.

2-0 out of 5 stars Confusing book
I divide Atwater's book into two parts. The first half is an interesting overview of the near-death experience (NDE).The second half deals with New Age-like, occult-like issues that depart from NDE. The second section is so New Age-y and off-the-point (and so counter to my beliefs religious and otherwise), that I could only stand to thumb through it.This half of the book contains the silly remarks that draw many complaints in reviews. The purpose of the book really seems to promote interest in all sorts of occult practices (especially in light of her anti-Christian attitude, described below, and her occupation as a psychic advisor and as a writer in occult topics). My questioning of her motive for this "bait-and-switch" book is supported by her wanderings into non-NDE topics (such as the alien abduction) and her claims to have had every type of paranormal experience (including both types of "walk in" phenomena: now that she has a different soul, doens't that make her a different person?).

Secondly, I object to Atwater's contemporary politically correct way of joyfully respecting all belief systems and cultures except for Christianity.Christians come in all varieties and cannot be stereotyped. In every reference to Christians the tension begins and Ms. Atwater never misses an opportunity to stab them in the back and twist the knife. She can't be respectful to Christianity at all for one second. Not once.I think that this blind anger invalidates her overall judgment and might turn readers away from more NDE research. How can I trust someone whose writing is always biased and whose conclusions are partial?Real research must be objective, but Atwater redefines the word.

5-0 out of 5 stars Quite Good
One of the most astonishing things about the book was the jealousy the author speaks of. If NDEs are short voyages to death and the experience generally develops one's personality and conscience, it is interesting to see experiencers who are still selfish and go after fame and success in a very negative manner.

I loved the book, because I believe the author is open and sincere with her subject. I am reading the Complete Idiot's Guide... right now and it is as good as this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Bishop Martin's afterlife
Bishop Martin wasn't a bad man really. In his life, he was proud of being a bishop in the catholic church. Although he didn't take anything too seriously. Being camp follower, he just tried to enjoy life, even although he had to obey to celibacy. But then: He died! And there was no great welcome service in the afterlife! Nobody cared for the honorable position he had on earth. Rather there was just nothing for a long and painful time. Since God was nowhere to see, Martin became afraid of the devil. Then he had to serve whom he considered the worst of all: a follower of Luther! Next he even had to become handyman of a fisherman. But then he realized Jesus just next to him as his friend and brother and this is when he begins his journey back to God, where everything is treated and discussed and even the devil got a stunning appearance.

This book is a great read. The most serious and complicated philosophic and theologic issues are discussed deeply and clearly. No need to become a professor to understand life's very issues. It makes you grasp, how you never didn't understand it right and clearly before. At the same time the story is funny and almost like a comedy, esp. since Martin always is humanly, loveable and kind of humorous and Jesus is just beyond speech the most mercyfull and great being ever. It gives you hope that since Martin could make it back to God, you can do it as well, even just on earth and how you'll become a better human being, with the help of God.

Just like all of Lorber's books, you have to read it with the heart. Being overly critic and swell-headed, will render your study useless. It is a relevation, a mixture of natural and spiritual facts, to rise you to a higher level of understanding and science, and not a science book in the common sence. If you are able to read German, it is better to read the original. ... Read more

This book was very interesting in many ways. It was also very complex and in many ways. Overall it was what I expected and more.

5-0 out of 5 stars "An Earth in which Every Being is Loved."
Last of the Mind Chronicles Trilogy, Signet of Atlantis continues the chirotic weaving of time through past lives and prophetic future that is Barbara Hand Clow's gift. Her deep commitment to Earth's story is brought to light through the lives of ancient beings, human and others, giving the reader a mind-expanding adventure into worlds within this world. The wealth of pure information in this volume is astounding. Any seeker of any discipline will find a key to that which offers them bliss.Written in the first person, Signet of Atlantis paints passionate visions of multidimensional life through the eyes, mind and heart of Aspasia, Cretan priestess; Egyptian lion goddess, Sekhmet; IchorEgyptian astrologer; Argolid, Atlantean from Spica; Allini, Pleadian teacher from Alcyone, Inanna, Sumerian goddess of love and war and Isaiah, Judeo-Christian prophet. (There are others) In true shamanic fashion, stars and stones speak their secret knowledge of the evolution of humankind, releasing a new/old vision of life on earth for modern man- and womankind to absorb and become. The author's willingness to speak to ancient wounds, tantric energies and secret teachings, in Heart of the Christos, (Book 2) isbrought to fruition and healing in Signet of Atlantis. Her courage in accepting the "mission impossible" of bringing this body of knowledge to light and into play in this critical phase of Earth history is a fine example for people who care as deeply and for those who may only sense that something is going on.The whole trilogy is a must read for those seeking to open their multidimensional selves to the depth and richness of this planet we inhabit. There is much work to be done to manifest the wonder and beauty of life in full consciousness and Barbara Hand Clow has brought forth a solid understanding upon which to build. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars is there an afterlife
The book was way to long, a lot of opinons with a lot of unproven information.I personally did not enjoy it and skipped over a lot of material because of the size. I would imagine some people will like it much better than I did and that is mainly because of the extensive (unproven and opinionated) material. Conclusion = No one really knows - do they?Which means one will have to wait until their demise to really find out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Afterlife Summary To Date
With Michael Tymm & Jeffrey Mishlove's reviews already posted here, I should do little more than defer to & recommend their reviews.Considering their expertise in the study of parapsychological/survival studies.I am little more than a late comer to Dr. Fontana's book- but I have to add that this is THE book to seek out when embarking upon a personal inquiry into this field.Masterfully and engagingly written, often with first hand accounts of experiences in the lab as well as in the field with mediums, and seance circles. His overview of both the 'cross correspondences' case and the Scole Experiment are concise and erudite. This provides a sound background for understanding both cases. His revaluation of the voice mediumship of Leslie Flint and John Sloan is welcome and worthy of further study.

His somewhat sympathetic view of the events surrounding George Meek and the Spiricom is curious; I still feel there remain significant unanswered questions before serious consideration can be given to this experiment.

To repeat myself, when you begin a laypersons study of parapsychology & the question of survival- make this your first book purchase. You will not be disappointed. As the alleged spirit of Frederick Myers communicating through British psychic Matthew Manning in 1972 wrote, "Carry on trying (to answer the question of life after death) though because you could soon be close to the secret. If you find it no-one will believe you anyway."

5-0 out of 5 stars skeptical review
A very extensive compendium of a variety of phenomena related to the question of do human beings have a spiritutal self apart form the body. Tjhe writer is a expert in parapsychology and has a bias toward a yes answer. He presents evidence for apparitions, telepathy, out of body expreriences and near death experiences with a scientific approach. The evidence is fairly compelling, but you remain about as convinced as you would about string theory presented by one of its advocates. Which is to say a little faith is required. It is a very good book and I recommend to anyone with an interest in the question posed by the title.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great History on topic
Dr. Fontana thoroughly investigated the history of afterlife studies. That was five stars. However, I found the book repetitive and not that interesting. I found his overuse of mediumship as evidence was tedious. His treatment of OBE was brief.I feel that actually presents the best documented evidence for another aspect of human life.He completely ignored the published research by Dr. Karlis Osis with Dr. Alex Tanous. He also overlooked much of the technical data derived from various hauntings.

If you're new to the field, this book will be a great introduction to the topic. If you're interested in the technical aspects, you might be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars Spiritual Insight
Is There An Afterlife? is a serious, thoughtful, and heartwarming book for those who seek knowledge, understanding and a deeper spiritual life.

His scholarship is excellent as is his delving into the depths of the human struggle and journey here on this earth.

As an Adult Educator, I would rate this work as truly outstanding. ... Read more

The author in her book helps wonderfully to explain something that I found happening to me after the death of a wonderful man in my life. Enjoyed this book a lot.

5-0 out of 5 stars Inspired
Stephanie's story was enveloping.I was touched by the love lessons she learned through Dan and inspired by their story to live my life more honestly, openly and lovingly.I couldn't put it down, it comforted me with it's genuine warmth.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst book I've read on the afterlife connection
I have read many books on life after death, and about communication with those who have passed. I have read the series of Seth books by Jane Roberts that the author mentions. This book is a contradiction of most everything else I have read - Guides that order you around and tell you when to eat, sleep, work, etc.? Guides who tell your deceased husband that he is not allowed to speak to you and is breaking the rules by doing so?I believe that our loved ones who pass over continue to be part of our lives because they want to watch over us, and because they love us.I don't believe that they have to "leave".Since ancient times, people have believed that their ancestors watched over them and guided them.I would DEFINITELY not recommend this book to anyone who is grieving.I would suggest "Loving Connections" by Jane Bissler (and medium Susan Sanderford) as well as "Hello From Heaven!" by Bill and Judy Guggenheim ( as well as their website [...]). I could not even finish this book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Really recommended!
The writing style is what caught my attention in this book and then.. 2 boxes of kleenex later (I read it twice) I finally put it down. This is such a beautiful love story.I think when you lose someone you love, you never get over it, you just get used to it.Memory becomes your partner, memory and Whole Foods.Life has an end but love doesn't.

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerful!
This book is tightly written with a powerful, emotionally gripping story of the author's deceased husband, Dan, returning from the dead to make amends. His after-life confessions and apologies go on for several months while Ms. Riseley works through her feelings of being cheated of a child, of gentle love, and of much deserved respect. How often do lovers get to have a conversation like this? Rarely? Never? I frankly have never heard of anyone's dead beat husband returning from the grave to mend the grieving spouse's wounded heart and soul. Better yet, he is able to have "energy sex" with her as well. Ms. Riseley's unflinching willingness to bare all makes this book a page-turner. Highly recommended! A must read if you have any interest at all in life-after-death, reincarnation, and after-life marriage counseling (who knew that was possible?). ... Read more

    Product Description
Some folks call it Bardo, others the "Blue Mist" the space between your current life and the one before. The times between death and re-entering the womb for another life. But what goes on in that time-space? What happens to the soul?

What do we learn, or more importantly, what do we need to learn from that time?

Many writers and including those with Near Death Experiences have documented the visions, the experiences that happen during those times. And they mostly follow similar patterns. The soul group, the learning process, the council of elders, the choice of the new body/life we make before re-entering this world. Often, questions are answered: what are the key elements of purpose of my "thumbprint" soul? Who are the people that I have journeyed with from lifetime to lifetime? What is the purpose of my journey in this lifetime? How and why did I choose this particular body and brain? Fascinating and profoundly moving questions and answers.

Discovering the Interlife explores the history of belief in life between lives and gives key insights into the fascinating subject. From historical perspective to contemporary experiences, including case studies of life between lives sessions, both those who are new to this concept and those who are already aware of it will love this book. Included are detailed instructions and a script that can be used to create a recording for facilitation into the life between lives! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars From J .Kaye's Book Blog
"Discovering the Interlife," by Dr. Georgina Cannon, is a short, easy-to-read, non-dogma book on the journey between lifetimes. The focus of the book is not as much trying to convince you about reincarnation, but more to what you were thinking and planning before you were born, this time.

Dr. Cannon is a Board Certified Consulting Hypnotherapist and accredited Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists and she uses examples from her practice in the book. This book is basically a high level explanatory and self-help book on using auto-hypnosis and past life regression techniques to find out why you are what you are and what lessons you are suppose to learn and work through.

Chapter 5, `Your Soul and Soul mate,' made a couple of very interesting points. Soul mates are souls who have contracted before birth to spend time together to stimulate growth. These are not necessarily a love interest. Soul mate relations are recognized by passion -they push your buttons.

However, there is more than a cosmic connection to why you are drawn to the soul mates; it's called the limbic brain. For that, you will need to read "Discovering the Interlife" to find out more. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fascinating book
Eccentric, talented, apparently gifted in the ways of ancient magic and highly knowledgable and able in the field of Egyptology, Dorothy Eady was a person worth reading about. She is held up as an example of believable reincarnation, but whether or not you believe in such things, her story is a fascinating read.

I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in biography or Egyptology, or, of course, reincarnation.

4-0 out of 5 stars You can tell its a good book when...
Search for Omm Sety is one of the most interesting and perplexing books I've read in a long time. Its a good read; however sometimes you may find yourself taking a leap of faith when Omm Sety describes her relationship with the spirit world.I consider myself to be a spiritual person, and this book had me saying "hunh????" more than a few times.

Somehow I got the idea in my head before purchasing it, that this book was a fictious romance dealing with true love spanning time and crossing the boundries of death. It isn't.Its a biography about a very real woman who was an eccentric and lived her life by her own terms. She just had visitations from her dead lover, the Pharaoh Sety.

When I was in college we were taught to never judge a book until we've read the entire thing. Then you can praise or bash it.

I don't feel I can do either here. I would only recommend this book to a very select few people.Such as those who are interested in past lives and those who really love Ancienct Egypt and Archaeology.

You can always tell if a book is "good" because it leaves you with questions and the story line stays strong in your mind.

4-0 out of 5 stars Return of an Ancient Egyptian
Omm Sety was born Dorothy Eady and lived in a suburb of London, England. After suffering a concussion from a fall down a staircase, she began to express a deep longing for a place and a life she couldn't name, but knew intimately and instinctively. In time, she realized that that home was ancient Egypt, and that her connection with that place had to do with a past life in which she was the Pharoah's lover.

Sety described experiences in which Sety the First would visit her: their deep heart connection apparently still strong after thousands of years. Her profound understanding of all things ancient Egyptian was remarkable, and presents a strong case for a true instance of reincarnation.

Although I enjoyed the story and appreciated Omm Sety's discovery of her past life, I felt uncomfortable that she identified with her past life to such a degree that she negated everything having to do with her current life. It may be that certain souls need to focus on an earlier existence to let them go; otherwise, in my view, the knowledge of past lives should be used to help us live our current life more fully.

One of the most entertaining books I have read in a long time. Interesting detailed look into the life of Omm Sety.A lot of educational information as well.Loved it!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Homecoming!
Having briefly heard her story, 20 odd years ago, it never left me.Only regret, having not come across the book sooner. I enjoyed turning every page and absorbing every word.Whether her story is a truth spanning the centuries or a lovely dream of a deeply feeling and intelligent woman, it makes us question our own existance. And really, there is nothing wrong in opening up questions we always wanted to ask but never have. I like to think there is more to our existance than we can actively see, touch, smell or taste. It's been a pleasure to finally get to know Dorothy Eady/Omm Sety, even if it is through the words of others. I can only hope as she passed over that her homecoming was all she dreamt. ...
