Great Descriptions
I purchased this book to supplement my required Holton book. This book does a much better job of explaining what dynamics are happening rather than throwing endless formulae at you and not explaining them well.

Best combinations of graphics and mathematics
This is the best synoptic textbook I have found. It has excellent schematics of atmospheric dynamic that are clearly and concisely. It also doesn't cheat on the math--it gives clear derivations with explanations. It also avoid unnecessary details. Great!

Amazing book for atmospheric scientists
Martin does an excellent job of explaining concepts with words and mathematics. I think the marriage of the two makes his book different from the rest.Definitely a worthwhile purchase! ... Read more
