Product Description
This book is a self help guide for patients suffering from (chronic) Lyme-disease and/or other intra-cellular infections. The book also serves as an information resource for therapists and doctors interested in better treatment options for (chronic) Lyme disease. The book has come forward from the author's own struggle in getting rid of chronic Borrelia and Babesia infections. This was not a trivial exercise. During this quest the use of bio-energetic testing and treatment methods was essential in being successful. The bio-energetic methods that have been applied are bio-resonance and bio-photon based methods. The presented bio-energetic treatment methods can be applied alone or in combination with traditional anti-biotics therapy. ... Read more

Occasionally, symptoms such as arthritis persist after the infection has been eliminated by antibiotics, prompting suggestions that Borrelia causes autoimmunity. Some groups have argued that "chronic" Lyme disease is responsible for a range of medically unexplained symptoms beyond the recognized symptoms of late Lyme disease, and that additional, long-term antibiotic treatments are needed. Product Description
For some of us, myself included, chronic illness can be a cruel and painful road that we're unfortunately forced to walk alone. For in that place we spend far too many years suffering in total isolation where perceptions, prejudices and ignorance dominate every facet of our mortal being. But those of us, who do get through that process by our own volition, have both a right and an obligation to inform the world about the horrors we've endured and the skills we've gained. For in that way, we contribute through our own unique style the very essence of our thoughts, our life experiences and our desires for our fellow man. Because despite populist beliefs, Lymes Disease is not a life sentence and that is a FACT and you can take it from me, for once we understand the rationale behind root cause analysis, we are able to free ourselves from Lymes Disease's grasp and soar once more like the eagles we were born to be. ... Product Description
Understanding the epidemiology and nature of Lyme disease (LD), and the perception of its risk to the human population are important for the development of public health policies, for guiding clinicians in their practices, and for general public awareness to minimize risk to the population. However, there has been minimal research into knowledge levels and resulting perceptions of Lyme disease, and how those perceptions influence various groups in their practices. This book explores four groups for their knowledge levels and perceptions on Lyme disease: scientists, policy makers, clinicians, and disease-specific advocates. One major category emerged through analysis: knowledge and understanding of LD, along with 5 sub-categories: lack of knowledge and understanding of LD, application of LD knowledge, LD transmission, individual roles, and personal perspectives. The findings indicate the importance of the critical current science of Lyme being disseminated across the groups to enable the development of risk perceptions conducive to effective disease control, and should be particularly useful for healthcare professionals, or individuals personally affected by Lyme disease. ... Bartonella is one of the most serious infections in the world. Due to profoundly outmoded testing, this universal world infection has been able to hide in untold tens of millions of individuals.Even with virtually no research, it has gone from 2 species to 32 discovered species in a short time. Treatment studies are all of questionable value. Bartonella harms every organ in at least 15-20 ways. This fact is based on a review of about 2,000 published papers and is functionally unknown to 99.9% of the world’s clinical and academic health care workers. This book is meant to powerfully and clearly reveal this profoundly dangerous stealth infection, before it harms millions of people. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT- BUT GET IT IN COLOR-THIS IS B & W
Get in color. This is high discount black and white.

I have black and white also. The color is quite something.

My physician looked over treatments in the book with me, and admitted we had tried the six things that were supposed to work from some articles in journals. They did not work. Schaller says this. It could have saved me time, money and annoying medications (or herbs from "experts" with no research and of no use).

5-0 out of 5 stars Superior Research From Dr. James Schaller
The Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention of Bartonella: Atypical Bartonella Treatment Failures and 40 Hypothetical Physical Exam Findings is superior quality reading for those wishing to further enhance their medical knowledge. With a study just completed by Eva Sapi at the University of New Haven that shows that 30% of ticks collected in Connecticut in 2003 contained Bartonella, this book is a must read for medical professionals. The complications that Bartonella cause, including the suppression of the immune system, which is further complicated when combined with co-infections such as Lyme and Babesia, are not well known or understood. How much solid information is taught in medical schools or busy residency programs which merely teach medical basics?

Dr. Schaller sheds light on this emerging stealth infection and discusses vast amounts of new research. The volume includes hundreds of photos to help any health care professional in diagnosis as well as clear, easy to follow information on dubious antibiotic treatments. This book is a must read for any medical professional who wants to be on top of the latest research on Bartonella, an illness currently affecting untold numbers of people across the country and being missed by well meaning doctors. Dr. Schaller diagnosed my son as having Bartonella, Babesia, and another infection. My son was one of six who had been to a total of 28 doctors who were unable to diagnose us. Dr. Schaller's research showed us how it was being missed. My son is in fabulous shape now due to Dr. Schaller's research.Dr. Schaller is truly a doctor who is years ahead of his time. Perhaps you, as a professional health care worker, will spend a little time learning and stop missing this serious infection which harms every major organ 15-20 ways.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Answer
Dr. James Schaller once again hits the Bull's-eye with his latest book "The Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention of Bartonella: Atypical Bartonella Treatment Failures and 40 Hypothetical Physical Exam Findings". I suffered unknowingly from this disease for many years and found this book to be the only credible, up to date and ultimately useful source of knowledge and ultimately hope. I only wish more MD's new about the complexities of this and other Bio-Toxin illnesses so the suffering could cease.

5-0 out of 5 stars ESSENTIAL reading for anyone with Lyme Disease, Babesia, CFS or M.E.
If you have or are suspicious you may have Lyme Disease, Babesia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or M.E. I strongly recommend you read this book as doing so could quite literally save your life! I have suffered from a severe debilitating illness for 15 years without knowing what was wrong with me. I saw dozens of physicians and have ended up in hospital more times than I can remember. I was diagnosed as suffering from Lyme Disease and I thought that finally I might be towards the end of my suffering. I was wrong. Despite lengthy antibiotics, including 6 months of Intravenous Antibiotics, I still was not getting any better. In fact I was steadily getting worse. I then read an article called "The 18 Reasons Lyme Treatments Fail" by James Schaller M.D. which prompted me to purchase this book (and all his other books on Babesia and Bartonella). This proved to be the best investment I have ever made in my life, as I shortly afterwards have discovered that I not only have Lyme Disease, but also Babesia and Bartonella. It is practically impossible to contract just Lyme Disease by itself. Furthermore, if you do have Babesia or Bartonella it is impossible to cure your Lyme Disease until you cure the Babesia or Bartonella first. Dr. Schaller's books on Babesia and Bartonella provide essential information and literally everything you need to know on how to successfully test for Babesia and Bartonella, avoiding the pitfalls of false negative test results, and treatment combinations to undertake to properly cure you of these life-destroying diseases. Years of suffering and endless unsuccessful treatments are not acceptable. If you have or think you may have Lyme Disease, Babesia, Bartonella, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or M.E, you need to buy Dr. Schaller's books today!

3-0 out of 5 stars Good book, but not happy about the price
While this was a very good book, I'm not sure if it was worth the $73 that I spent. Not sure if I really learned anything new about Babesia.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you are fighting Babesia; you NEED this book
I've read everthing there is out there about Lyme, and for those of us who suffer from Lyme and Babesia, this is the book to buy. While the book can get complicated at times, it remarkably tells us what labs we need done, how to watch them for a cure, and warns that standard dosing doesn't work (as I have many Lyme friends that have unfortunately proven this!).NOBODY else knows how to do this.Thank you Dr. Schaller!!!!

I also suggest that if you're Lyme treatment isn't working that you get this book and his other larger book on Babesia. It is possible that you have a stealth Babesia infection. My Babesia was stealth and didn't appear until 3 months after my Lyme treatment started. This book gives tips on how to "prime" a stealth infection for a positive test.If you're not getting better you should seriously consider talking to your Lyme doctor about babesia; and bring this book along.

Chris Mefford, Dallas, TX

2-0 out of 5 stars Need just one book on Babesia? Buy a different book.
This is the first book I bought specifically about Babesia.I was left very unsatisfied after reading it.The reader is left to wonder why James Schaller even bothered to make this into a whole new book.

If you are seeking comprehensive knowledge about Babesia, you should definitely buy The Diagnosis and Treatment of Babesia instead.

In it's entirety, this tiny book can be summed up in a single sentence: it may be safer to treat Babesiosis for longer than 4 months, because some Babesia may linger. Or at least thats all I could learn without the necessary background information.

Dr. Schaller seems to complain in this book that he wont ever regain the money he put into making this book, and yet while reading this, I wish I could get back the money I put into buying this book.

Don't get me wrong, I think Babesiosis is a very serious illness, and reading a book about it is absolutely necessary to fully understand the illness. But this book in no way provides a comprehensive understanding of the illness to the reader.I bought this book looking for the most up-to-date guide to treat and understand Babesia. Instead, the author implies that if this is what you are looking for, then you have to own both books.

Bottom line: Don't buy this unless you already own "The Diagnosis and Treatment of Babesia."If you can only afford to buy one of these books, do not buy this one at all.

James Schaller has probably written some of the most useful books that patients and doctors of tick-borne disease could have on their shelves, but I think he made a fundamental mistake in the way he published this book.He says that this is the last publication he will write about Babesia. Instead of writing this book, he should have used this time to make final revisions to his other Babesia books.

5-0 out of 5 stars Babesia weight gain
A must have for anyone with babesia. It gives clear up-to-date information on this very misunderstood and undertreaed disease. For any woman who CANNOT lose weight and has no answers, she should read this to see if it fits her.Current statistics aer saying 1 in every 6 people in U.S. are likely to have lyme.IF that is true, then the co-infections are also present with it.If you have the Diagnosis and Treatment of babesia, this is a great complement to it. ... Product Description
This up-to-date and comprehensive set of two CD-ROM discs provides a superb collection of official Federal government documents on the subject of Lyme Disease. Lyme disease is a bacterial infection that features a skin rash, swollen joints and flu-like symptoms. You get the disease from the bite of an infected tick. Sometimes it is hard to know if you have Lyme disease because you may not have noticed a tick bite. Also, many of its symptoms are like those of other diseases.
