An American vision
Intellectual property is a complex issue, and most books on the subject deals mostly on the legal practice or economic aspects of the matter. This academic-intended volume has virtually all basic texts needed to understand the core problems of the subject, and is a precious help to serious students and researchers. A treatment of the International problems related to the matter and some further discussion of the crucial theme of public domain would be recommended in a future edition. But, alas, it is a precious work, and I have included it and the basic bibliography of my graduate IP courses in Brazil.

Merges and Ginsburg is, without being rethoric, simply an extraordinary reading, a powerful and very enjoyable tool that is to help all of us in addressing and discovering the most important literature on U.S. Intellectual Property in the best way.
