Continuing with James.
A very fine sequel to the Book of James by author Susy Smith. Once again, a highly thought-provoking offering on the paranormal with a bit more information about the identity of her contact. Well done and easy to read. Highly recommended.

Glimpses of Eternity
This book is a real challenge to the skeptics. The information from the other side, clamed to be received by automtic writing from famed early American philosoher, William James is most fascinating in its natural simplicity. Especially when the author, Susy Smith, a former agnostic, questions him further on a subject-- on several subjects.

Author of 29 other books about the unknown, and having questioned religios authorities for over 30 years, she is so matter of fact, and down to earth, few will find it impossible not to believe.

Without the usual metaphysical cliches, she simply records her back and forth with James on almost every subject imaginable. From angels to health issues to UFOs, to evolution... and leaves the reader with a very convincing final chapter, "The End Is Just The Beginning."

For anyone doing much thinking about the "unobstructed universe," this book is highly recommended.

Mammalian Mathematics
Terrific little book with a strange new vision of what counting is.Rotman not only lays out an alternative theoretical account of what it means to do mathematics, but, by sketching out a type of non-Euclidean arithmetic, goes ahead and does a little bit on the sly.In the end, this is very lucid, accessible, and thought provoking way to stop simply taking infinity for granted.

Amateur
The book was fine for an amateur ghost hunter, with zero experience, or a young adult, who would like to get into learning about how to investigate ghosts.My biggest beef, this guy is promoting groups charging to do research for people who may be frightened out of their minds with what is happening in their home.I think he suggested $20 an hour for the team leader and $10 for the other researchers.I don't even remember I closed the book as soon as I saw that he wants to charge.If you want a good paranormal research book, get Vince Wilson's Untimate Ghost Hunter, and for a great paranormal how to guide, Troy Taylor's Ghost Hunters Guidebook.They are both far and away better this this piece of work.
Although, I am a little biased I am an American Ghost Society member.

I like the book......
It does introduce the beginner to a lot of terms for hauntings and equipment. But it does little else. I was hoping for more detail on how to read and understand equipment and how to best utilize different equipment. Overall it is a good reference for the beginner.

Cheap as in CHEAP
I was expecting something with a little more "meat" - this book is described as having 162 pages.Please be aware this is a tiny pocketbook and the text could easily fit on 40 regular-size pages.The amount of content is not worth the price of the book.In all seriousness, I've found more valuable information for free on the Internet.

Awesome Book - What typo's and grammer errors?
The book is well written and chock full of accurate information. The author will even email you back when you have a question. I don't know what that guy was talking about, the book has helped me greatly! I haven't seen any grammatical or spelling errors at all. It may be self published, I can't tell the difference from any other book on the subject. The author even offers the book in e-book form WITH video! Ignore that guy with the attitude, it's obvious he is a competitor.

Don't waste your money!
This book is self-published which should tell you something. The Grammar and spelling in this book are atrocious. The author claims to have a BA in journalism yet neglected to proof his work. I've been studying the paranormal for the last 28 years and I can honestly say there are many inconsistencies in this book. The book is so bad I'm attempting to get my money back. Real life happenings:
1) In 1985, Mrs Jayshree Mande’s mother-in-law was diagnosed as having a brain tumour. She narrated her story. “My husband was working in Saudi Arabia at that time. Before leaving India he had told his mother he would come back during Diwali and meet her. Those were difficult days for me as I was working and staying alone with my two small children.
I remember the date this incident occurred. It was 14th June 1985. I woke up with a start at 3 a.m. to see my mother-in-law sitting on my bed. I said ‘mother, how come you are here at this hour?’ She replied ‘I have come to meet you and the children. When will my son come?’ I said he would be coming during Diwali. ‘It will be too late. I will not be able to meet him. I am worried about you and the children staying alone in this lonely place’. Saying this, she got up to leave. ‘Have a cup of tea’ I said. I went into the kitchen to prepare tea. When I came out five minutes later, there was no sign of her. The front door was bolted from inside.
Later that day, I went to my neighbour’s house and requested them to keep an eye on my children, as I would be going to Pune to meet my mother-in-law. Meanwhile the phone rang. It was my brother-in-law on the line informing me that his mother had passed away that night. I went to his house. My mother-in-law was lying on her bed in the same white sari with a pink floral design and green blouse that I had seen her wearing a few hours earlier. My brother-in-law told me that she had slipped into a coma earlier that night and had regained consciousness around 3 a.m. He had asked her if she wanted something to drink. She had said ‘no thanks, I just went to Jayshree’s house and had some tea’. She died a few minutes later.

Agatha's Journey Will Stop When You Read This Book
Agatha's Journey was a marvelous book. Filled with many frighting and mysterious happenings. One of the most mysterious is that one of their dogs, Shey, came out of his cage, but the cage was locked solid! I am usually picky about the books I read, but if I loved this book, you will, too.

Agatha's Journey is one of those rare books that entrances you from first sentence to last. More than a standard "ghost" story, it's a tale of two courageous and compelling women, one a 19th Century Irish immigrant, and the other a modern day writer. Readers who treat themselves to this narrative will come away wiser about both the pioneer experience in America and the depths of the human heart.

I have grown spiritually as well as intellectually.
I found this book to be very thought provoking - not only from a spiritual perspective, but from a historical one as well.I enjoyed learning about some of the local history of Naperville, IL.I was inspired by Agatha'sperseverance and committment to her belief.I felt as though I read twogood books - the life and after-life journey of Agatha and the Penrosefamily's story of their adventures in the house.

Frighteningly believable and historically accurate.
I was never one who completely believed in spirits, but I know the author's family personally, and they aren't ones who would make this stuff up.I guess you could say I'm a believer now. I found the first severalchapters very scary (since I've actually visited the house, but I thinkeveryone will be chilled), but I found Agatha's story to be verycompelling.I read the book from cover to cover in just a couple ofhours-I didn't want to put it down. It tells of one woman's fascinatinglife and journey through the afterlife.I think that everyone who evenpartially believes in spirits should read this book.It's good to knowthat Agatha won't be forgotten.

A must read for those in need of healing
I'm not very god at writing reviews but I had to take a moment to pay tribute to this book. I have studied New Age thought and Spiritualism for over 25 years. This book was apparently written around 1915 - as far as I can reasearch. Though the old English is sometimes hard to follow, the information is penetrating. He gets to the core of the matter - healing. I haven't quite finished this yet (about 75% of the way through) but I will certainly be reading more of his fine work. It's almost as if he had actually tapped into the God side that resides within us all and articulates it like no one else I've read (except Gregg Braden).
