Extractions: Like Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, the founders of Florida Hospital believed physical healing by itself was not enough. They believed, as we do today, a person's health was closely linked with their spiritual, emotional and mental well-being; and they sought to provide a place where these aspects of the whole person could be healed and nurtured. Today, more than 90 years later, Florida Hospital is committed to these same goals, and to providing excellent medical care through state-of-the-art services, equipment and training. As a result of this commitment, the ultimate goal of our training programs is to help family physicians become well-rounded, competent clinical practitioners. We do this by offering opportunities to provide high-quality, comprehensive medical care for the whole person. We also offer a mix of experiences with the technology of a tertiary care hospital and the personal contact of a community hospital. I hope you'll take a few minutes to look through this web site and learn more about Florida Hospital East Orlando's outstanding medical education programs. We believe our unique balance of knowledge, experience and commitment make our programs among the finest available anywhere. Dr. Bigsby joined Florida Hospital East Orlando in January of 1996 as the Director of Medical Education and Family Practice Residency Program Director.
