However, a long over looked part of Canadian music the Inuit Movement is just starting to come into the light and show how really rich and wonderful it is. This movement would not exist if not for such Inuit artists such as Susan Aglukark. Born in Churchill, Manitoba, Susan had moved with her family to a small town of 1,300 called Arvait on the Hudson Bay in the North West Territories. Susans father was a Pentecostal minister and he encouraged Susan to pursue her music career, a talent that she had exposed to the town.
