Really Gay!!! :-{D}
I must admit, I got this because of the (unintentionally, I'm sure) campy cover. But, beyond being an interesting period piece, the contents are quite informative. It takes one back to a real or imagined place in time where friends in their teens might get together for an evening and knit together, complete with the adorable dog running around in the background or sitting on one's lap. There's no foul language, no scatology, just innocent fun. It makes me wonder why the idea of making one's own clothes now seems dated-- huh?! Maybe some things from the past need to stay in the past, but not this. In these economically challenged times, the raw materials to make clothing can be far cheaper than buying off the rack. Whatever happened to the idea of giving someone a sweater one has made oneself? Perhaps the cover picture is just a tad bit too cute, but the contents do provide some handy instructions that won't lead to a hangover or the transmission of an STD! ... Read more
