1-0 out of 5 stars superficial book
This book is extremely superficial and unimaginative, giving only scant information and profiles from a number of companies of a few finance careers.

3-0 out of 5 stars good, but the Vault guides are better
In my opinion there is more and better objective information on Finance and investment banking careers in the Vault Career Guide to Investment Banking and in the Vault Guide to Finance Interviews, which have the added benefit of being able to be purchased on vault.com and downloaded immediately.Good luck.

2-0 out of 5 stars Geared for neophytes - not a useful publication for most
Provides a cursory look at a consultant's life and some of the companies one would normally consider, along with many smaller companies that many people wouldn't have access to.Better information is likely available elsewhere, including the Internet and other publications.

4-0 out of 5 stars good basics
This book asks each of the top consulting firms to answer a set of questions about what their firm is like.As expected, the answers are biased, but still helpful. For a more unbiased insider's view of each firm also try the Vault Guide to the Top 50 Consulting Firms, which also ranks the leading consulting firms based on a national reputation survey.

5-0 out of 5 stars Daniel Pinkwater ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is possibly, most certainly, probably, the most funniest book I have ever read. The only ones that come close to this incredible feat of genuis are other books written by Mr. Pinkwater. Now on to the pros and cons;

The Pro's: Its funny.
The con's: there is no cons.

Peak inside this foutain of joyful laughter: There's the characters kids, funny kids, they're werewolves, they got this psychatrist who is sort of dumb and becomes a meatball. They meet at this resturant thats pretty funny too.

Why you should read this book and what kind of people would appreciate it: I can't really say anymore its really really really funny plus its got a good moral. kids see weirdos having fun and being good citizans its good for them. Ok, the book is written as a short chapter book. This doesn't mean it is only for the little kiddies, big kiddies and cats will also like it. People who like romance novels, cheap fiction and miss manners may not like this book.

AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Another fun romp with the young werewolves
"The Werewolf Club #2: The Lunchroom of Doom," is a fun entry in this young adult series by Daniel Pinkwater. The book is illustrated by Jill Pinkwater. The story is narrated by Norman Gnormal, a member of the Watson Elementary School Werewolf Club -- a sort of peer support group for kids who are werewolves.

This installment brings some interesting new elements into the series -- most notably, Honest Tom's Tibetan-American Lunchroom, were the 'wolves eat lunch. The kids face a naysayer in the form of a narrow-minded Board of Ed psychiatrist who claims that werewolves don't exist. They also discover a fiendish extraterrestrial plot. Good fun, with a nice message of empowerment for kids who are different.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Werewolf Club is Back!
Poor Billy Furball, he's been thrown out of the school lunchroom for having a food fight with himself. It was so bad, they had to bring in special cleaning equipment. And on top of that, because of his behavior, Billy has to see the school psychiatrist, who has informed him that there is no such thing as werewolves...it's just a game that got out of hand. Now, to support and cheer up their fellow werewolf, the rest of the club has decided not to eat in the lunchroom either.First, they tried to eat outside, but it rained.Next they tried to each in their club sponsor's car, but it was too full of shedded werewolf hair. So, finally they went down the block to eat at Honest Tom's Tibetan-American Lunchroom. The food wasn't bad and they got to meet Captain Sterling of the North American Space Squad. He has been abducted by aliens more than 400 times. Now as the club lunches each day at Honest Tom's, strange things begin to happen...This is the second book in Daniel Pinkwater's Werewolf series, and just like the first, it is full of wacky characters and laugh out loud scenes. The easy to read short chapters and hip, kid-speak language will keep your youngsters hooked and turning pages to the very end. This is a silly, funny, very absurd story that is just perfect for 7-10 year olds. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great book series
Franlkin has this new series of books for 1st graders to read . They are all great stories and they are learning books for kids who want to read by themselves, it is not to long but just enough words. It also can tells a story you can go over with the kids for a learning lesson as well,(KIDS CAN READ) books.

We are getting all of them. There GREAT.

3-0 out of 5 stars It's Not a Bad Story... But
This isn't a bad story, pretty good as far as the "Franklin First Readers" go. Franklin finds a special way to share with his friends a book that they all want to read. The dialogue is just right for the intended audience, although still not really true to the normal "Franklin" form.

The story is okay, but unfortunately, this is another story that has been heavily edited from the original script that aired on television. The original television story was a very good story about taking the time to really enjoy reading and it's not fair to take a completely different story and pass it off as "Franklin's Reading Club." ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Alison on the trail
Alison on the Trail is a very good book book because it's exciting and adventurous. While coming home from school with her friends Megan, Heather, and Keisha, Alison decides to stop by her friendly neighbor Ellie's to go upstairs in her "magic" attic to try on some dress up clothes. Her friends have all been on adventures using the magical mirror in Ellie's attic. When they want to go on an adventure they dress up in clothes, and whatever the outfit goes with (like what time period) the mirror takes them there. When Alison looked into the magical mirror she appeared at a camp and now is a leader of a group of girls. When Alison took her group on the hiking trail there's no telling what's going to happen.I highly recommend you read this book to find out what happens next.

3-0 out of 5 stars What's the point of this story?
Nothing really happened in this book! Alison was boring, the story was boring. Ahh! I could hardly stand it. Magic Attic really needs to shape up some of their stories, yeah some are for young girls but still they should have some point and not be so predictable. I think you should read American Girl books instead, they have a point and you learn something. They are better written too. ... Read more
