My favorite section of this book includes images from the Hubble Space Telescope. The Cat's Eye and Eagle Nebula are beautiful, while the egg nebula looks rather mysterious.

It is also so wonderful to know about asteroids wandering about in space always willing to hurtle themselves towards earth. There are pictures of places in Arizona were an asteroid hit the earth.

A space timeline is included (1926-2014). Which spacecrafts are scheduled for launch in 2012? This timeline explains future plans for space travel. There is an entire section dedicated to Rocket History and you can see how a rocket is powered by chemical reactions and how humans return after a journey into space.

Homework takes on a new meaning when you get to go online to research topics. DK and Google are producing books to make homework a journey into discovery. Information springs to life in color pictures, 3-D models and maps.

This book has a website dedicated to the topic of Space Travel. The links in this book are age-appropriate and children can also download images or do additional research.

You can do better
I purchased this DVD for use in Christian Education posters, flyers and classroom art.I expected it to be full of lots of useful clipart and designs that would be perfect for such use.Everything I read on the box and the internet description led me to believe it would be well worth our money.
I found out that my epectations were not met by reality.The clipart is nothing special and the graphics are dated, and only moderately appealing,at best. I do hope to be able to use a few things, so I didn't spend more money to return it, but I would definitely not recommend this DVD to others.

The center is using Electronic Arts Inc's EA Kids Div's Video Jam multimedia software to create animated videos with sound, special effects, motion and characters.
