Product Description

St. Mary County is a small rural midwestern enclave with a unique approach to handling accusations of child sexual abuse. Hoping to spare children the trauma of lengthy court appearances and probing interrogations, St. Mary's professionals strive to obtain confessions from accused sex offenders rather than ask the victim to bear the burden of proof.

Treating this county as a critical case study, scholars from a variety of fields come together to analyze this community's unique approach. They address relevant case law, innovative treatments for both victim and offender, and the social history of child sexual abuse as a national policy concern. They cover legal burdens and scientific methods, prosecutors and protocol, the interrogation of victims and suspects, the use of expert witnesses, defense strategies, and practice wisdom in videotaping. In addition, they examine the unfolding drama of a single legal case from incidence to conviction.

The result is a fascinating dialogue that confronts the unique complexities of child sexual abuse for readers on all sides of the issue. Introducing a model that makes enormous headway in the pursuit of justice, fairness, and trauma treatment, this interdisciplinary text is an indispensible tool for all communities seeking redress.

Product Description
Jenny grew up in a house where no-one was safe. Born one of five children in the East End, her childhood was spent in squalor and terror. Her father's violent beatings, humiliations, and sexual abuse were part of daily life; her mother - also his sexual victim and savagely beaten - was no source of help. Deprived of love and all comforts, the children would turn to each other for support and to the only adult they could trust, Auntie. This is the story of how Jenny, her sister Kim and brother Laurence, not only survived but ultimately transcended the unimaginable degradations heaped on them. With the power of love, cunning, the blackest of black humour and an indestructible self-belief, Jenny eventually broke free of her past. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars I'm probably a biography addict
I read quite a lot of biographies. Mainly celebrities, but a non-celebrity biography does tend to catch my eye. This author could actually be half a celebrity, as her daughter (although best known in the UK) is actually Martine McCutcheon (who has starred in EastEnders, and more worldwide, Love Actually). Following on from her daughter's biography, Jenny has given it a go, and she's got more of a life to talk about than her daughter did. (Yes I own that biography!)

Jenny has been through a hard life. Her dad regularly abused her and her two sisters, beat and abused his wife, and done things to his sons, which are never really touched upon. Her mother gets abused by her father, and gives birth to child after child, and they were never fed properly. The dad has since died, much to the delight of Jenny and her sister, although it is touched upon that the youngest sister had a relationship with the dad.

It's an awful book to try and read, although it's gripping at the same time. At least Jenny has something to talk about, unlike these Z list celebrities who release their first biography before they're out of their teens. It's a shocking book, but is a brilliant read, and well worth getting, if you want to read a decent biography. ... Read more

Product Description
Written for professionals, this text examines the complex nature of child sexual abuse cases and current social work practice, exploring the problems encountered by local authority social workers who are required to intervene in families to protect children. Using material from 40 case stduies, Brian Corby describes how the cases were referred in the light of the Cleveland recommendations, and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the response of the statutory welfare agencies. He also studies the historical background to child protection, and the curious ambivalence of society's attitude to cases of child sexual abuse. The text argues for greater co-operation between agencies and recommends focusing upon providing more serious resources for treatment of children and families rather than concentrating exclusively on criminality and the risk to children. ... Finally, a beginning...

The time had finally come. The time I had been waiting for through all these long months that I knew sooner or later had to occur. Now it was here.

She had surprised me so much by actually crying that for a moment I did nothing but look at her. Then I gathered her into my arms, hugging her tightly. She clutched onto my shirt so that I could feel the dull pain of her fingers digging into my skin. She cried and cried and cried. I held her and rocked the chair back and on its rear legs, feeling my arms and chest get damp from the tears and her hot breath and the smallness of the room.

5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING BOOK!! and I am not even half way though
This book is already very goood and I just started reading it! the writer makes it very easy to picture each and every child it's alost as if I was there to see this classroom in action. Lat night I stayed awake just to finish the 3rd chaper and I can't wait to get back to reading it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable but much is doubtful
I gave this story 3 stars because I found it enjoyable to read but much of the details are strange and doubtful. In the first place, A child as neglected and abused as this would have ended up in foster care especially after the incident with her uncle. The incident with the uncle certainly could have happened but she would have ended up in a facility or foster care. A school system would never have a child waiting 2 hours at school for the high school bus. High school kids get out much earlier than grade school kids so I don't know where that all came from. A school district could not have a teacher stay 2 hours with one student because of liability and the teacher contract. A pricipal would never tolerate the professional boundries Ms. Hayden crossed. This certainly may have been an intelligent child but an IQ of 182? Come on. I guess it sold the book.

I'm a sophomore in high school at an assembly one day, this book was mentioned. It seemed interesting so I bought a copy from on here. I must say this book was a fantastic read. Hayden as an author is wonderful and the story really caught my attention and grabbed hold of my heart. This was one of those books that I would not put down. It left me tearing and very curious as to where Shelia is today. I say this is a must read!(:

4-0 out of 5 stars A Valuable Tool
This book is educational and informative. It is for anyone involved in the social service field, and for anyone who works with child abuse and neglect on any level. I personally found the book to be an excellent reference tool, and solid teaching material.

This book lays out the definitions, current issues, and treatments surrounding child abuse and neglect. It also presents various models and perspectives and sums up different social theories; enhancing its title of "multidisciplinary approaches". Although the book discusses the need for a mutidisciplinary team approach,(and even devotes a chapter to the issue) it could have emphasized this to a greater degree and focused more upon conflict resolution among team members. Perhaps the authors could have created a uniform system for setting up a team of professionals with every suspected child abuse case from every point of entry within the group of professionals typically involved with a team. Also guidelines that could be adopted by the social service agencies involved. Maybe that will become the focus for another book. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A much needed book
    An American Authors Association review:

This is a much needed book for children who have been sexually abused. With delightful illustrations and a simply guided tour, this can be used by an older child by himself or under the guidance of a family members or adult friend. (There are instructions for an adult who uses the book to help a child.)

The author has set up a six-stage program which she identifies this way:
Recognition, Entry, Process, Awareness, Insights and Rhythm. There are work sheets for the child to use in learning about their feelings, building self-esteem and optimism, learning the difference between healthy and unhealthy messages, learning skills to soothe the inner-child, how to reveal inner feelings through drawing, breaking free from false shame, cultivating self-care skills and practices, learning about boundaries and bodies, and how to return to the natural rhythm and flow of life.

The author has used simple terms and created easy tools to help any child work through the devastation of sexual abuse.

    Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Stories for Children Magazine 5 Star Review
This is the second book in the Growing with Love Series designed to help children recover from Incest and Childhood Sexual Abuse. However, I felt this book could work in helping children who felt bullied move past the hurt feelings and build-up their self-confidence.

REPAIR for Kids is a multiple step program for children to tell, express, and move beyond childhood abuse. Adults using this book will find at the beginning instructions on the best ways to help children recover using this book. The program is non-abusive and helps children know and understand there are caring parents, adults, relatives, or therapists willing to help and listen.

The illustrations that accompany each step are fun and kid friendly. Giving a storybook feel rather than a recovery tool workbook appearance. There are sections where children are encouraged to write or drawn within the book itself, too. The suggested activities are fun and safe. They help build the child's confidence with each step towards repair.

At the back of the book, adults will find other suggested books for reading and insight to way the author felt this book was important to write.

4-0 out of 5 stars Repair for Kids
I have to say the cover kind of threw me off, it is very childish. But, like it has been said "Never judge a book by it's cover". This books is amazing for children of all ages who have suffered this kind of abuse. As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I wish I had this book in my early and late teens when self-doubt and hate plagued me.
The book isn't simply something for the child to read, it's workbook. They can keep it can review it later when bad feeling's come back. I would defiantly recommenced this book, if for some bad reason I knew a child who was or had gone through one of these situation.

5-0 out of 5 stars A recovery program to help young victims of sexual abuse
Reviewed by Paige Lovitt for Reader Views (7/08)

"REPAIR for Kids" presents a six-step program for children who are recovering from incest and sexual abuse. It is geared for kids that are in the 6 to 12 year-old age range.REPAIR stands for Recognition, Entry, Process, Awareness, Insight, and Rhythm.I first learned about REPAIR when I read "REPAIR for Adults."In "REPAIR for Kids," the material is presented with colorful illustrations in a manner which is easier for children to read.It contains exercises that allow children to write about their emotions. There is also a list of instructions for adults at the beginning of the book and a helpful suggested book list at the end.

McKinnon is perfectly able to describe the feelings that sexually-abused children experience. For example she describes shame as "that hot rush to our body that makes us feel bad."She knows what the child is experiencing. This in turn helps the child realize that they are not alone and that there are others that have gone through this experience and will be able to relate to them. This book brought tears to my eyes, because I found myself wishing that I had access to it as a child

A powerful message runs through the book. This message tells children that what happened was not okay, and it was not their fault. It is so important that children realize this. They also learn how to identify their emotions, set boundaries and most importantly to say "NO!" By addressing these things now, it will help prevent the child from being abused again by someone else. The exercises and readings will empower them to have a role in their own recovery. This empowerment is critical because the abuse has made them feel helpless.Empowering them now will help them heal so that hopefully they will avoid getting involved with abusers, drugs and promiscuity when they are older.

"REPAIR for Kids" by Marjorie McKinnon is a really important resource for children who have been abused.I wish that a copy could be found in every classroom so that abused children could have immediate access to the information. This might be the very tool they need to show them how to get the abuse to stop. This is particularly critical for these children because they might be more inclined to report abuse if they are taught that it isn't their fault. If you are helping a child who has been abused, you should not hesitate in purchasing this book.

Recent events such as the clergy abuse scandal in the Catholic Church have brought the once-taboo subject of childhood sexual abuse to the forefront. But despite increasing awareness of the problem, the United States has not succeeded in establishing effective means of deterring and preventing it, leaving the children of today and tomorrow vulnerable. Hamilton proposes a comprehensive yet simple solution: eliminate the arbitrary statutes of limitation for childhood sexual abuse so that survivors past and present can get into court. Removing this merely procedural barrier permits the millions of survivors to make public the identities of their perpetrators and to receive justice and much-deserved compensation. Standing in the way, however, are formidable opponents such as the insurance industry and the hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church. In Justice Denied, Hamilton predicts a coming civil rights movement for children and explains why it is in the interest of all Americans to allow victims of childhood sexual abuse this chance to seek justice when they are ready. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Good book
This is an informative book written by an expert in the subject of statutes of limitation [SOL] on sexual abuse against children. It was timely for me, as the Florida legislature had just passed a law doing away with SOL'S for the crime of sex abuse against children.I wrote to our Governor an urged him to sign the new legislation into law.Gov. Crist did sign the bill and it goes into effect on July 1, 2010.That's a god thing.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Must Read if you care about children!
This book is all about changing the statute of limitations for victims of child abuse with a lot of background on all of the places and people it would impact. Well written and easily understandable.

    1-0 out of 5 stars Pretentious Cr*p
Ms. Hamilton is a lawyer intent to make a buck, plain and simple. She probably hates the Church, too, but that is besides the point. No priest or minister should abuse a minor. Simple. Nor should anybody else! That's where Ms. Hamilton's house of cards collapses completely. While she herself acknowledges that most child abusers are NOT clergy, but rather teachers, coaches, family members, she demonstrates no interest whatsoever to hold those accountable. Nor do her politician friends. After all, who wants to mess with the teachers? They vote for the same party that is beholden to the trial lawyers...
    Can you name the party?

5-0 out of 5 stars Must Read for lawmakers and general public
Marci Hamilton is so knowledgeable and experiencedin the field of child abuse. She identifies two of the culprits who constantly fight against child rights legisation: the catholic church and the insurance industry. She has surveyed statelaws regarding statute of limitation on bringing suits against pedofiles. It is also interesting how she has identified states that have taken a proactive position on children's rights and how legislators in a certain state have deemed dog health care issues more important than those of children. It is also distressing that our nationappears to be more concerned about adult protection rather than protecting our children. How sad. Hopefully this book will make an impact on legislators in our nation, both state and federal.

5-0 out of 5 stars CAN'T PUT IT DOWN!
This book is amazing.Amazing, first, because I,(a person with very little knowledge of the legal system), can actually understand it! Anyone who has experienced child abuse and come to the realization of its impact on his or her life, can quickly recognize someone who "gets it".Marcy Hamilton gets it.This book has inspired me to take braver steps in my role as a child advocate, the first of which is going to be a letter to my State Senator to push for reform in our statute of limitation laws for child abuse!! ... Product Description

This book chronicles the unforgettable account of one of the most severe child abuse cases in California history. It is the story of Dave Pelzer, who was brutally beaten and starved by his emotionally unstable, alcoholic mother: a mother who played tortuous, unpredictable games--games that left him nearly dead. He had to learn how to play his mother's games in order to survive because she no longer considered him a son, but a slave; and no longer a boy, but an "it."

Dave's bed was an old army cot in the basement, and his clothes were torn and raunchy. When his mother allowed him the luxury of food, it was nothing more than spoiled scraps that even the dogs refused to eat. The outside world knew nothing of his living nightmare. He had nothing or no one to turn to, but his dreams kept him alive--dreams of someone taking care of him, loving him and calling him their son.

    Amazon.com Review
David J. Pelzer's mother, Catherine Roerva, was, he writes inthis ghastly, fascinating memoir, a devoted den mother to the CubScouts in her care, and somewhat nurturant to her children--but not toDavid, whom she referred to as "an It." This book is a brief, horrifying account of the bizarre tortures she inflicted on him, toldfrom the point of view of the author as a young boy being starved, stabbed, smashed face-first into mirrors, forced to eat the contentsof his sibling's diapers and a spoonful of ammonia, and burned over agas stove by a maniacal, alcoholic mom. Sometimes she claimed he hadviolated some rule--no walking on the grass at school!--but mostly itwas pure sadism. Inexplicably, his father didn't protect him; only analert schoolteacher saved David. One wants to learn more about hisordeal and its aftermath, and now he's written a sequel, The Lost Boy,detailing his life in the foster-care system.

Though it's a grim story, A Child Called "It" is very much inthe tradition of Chicken Soup for the Couple'sSoul and the many books in that upbeat series, whose authorPelzer thanks for helping get his book going. It's all aboutweathering adversity to find love, and Pelzer is an expert witness. ... Read more

Children who are so traumatized, as Dave claims he was, do not have total recall of such abuse becuase their brain shuts out certain traumas in order to protect the child and have him become a survivor. There was no transition at all, he went from loving, happy homelife to hell in one short chapter! It did not have a ring of truth to it and therefore hit the trashcan after the second chapter.Shame on you for cashing in on such dribble when there are genuine children out there being abused for real!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Sure?
I started reading this book and have to say it's pretty difficult to read and, at the same time, you cannot put it down. From pretty much the very beginning, the "hell" starts and it seems to never let up.One thing I don't understand is that this boy went to school with holes in his shoes and clothes and smelled and was very dirty and obviously not cared for with obvious wounds all over him (even a stab wound that the school saw!) and yet, it took the school quite a while to do something about this? Also, why in the hell would the school allow a smart boy to repeat a grade just because the mother wanted him to out of spite? And in addition, the father? He knew what was going on and let it happen and seemed to also be afraid of his wife? Some things kinda didn't make sense to me but maybe alcoholism, and he was also an alcoholic, make you go into denial or retreat or some such?I don't get it. Some things seem to be very unbelievable here? And WHY was this one child singled out to abuse and not the other kids?Don't get it. The book is mesmerizing though, but in a very sick way.Part of me wishes for the boy's/man's sake most of it was made up.

1-0 out of 5 stars Shameful
This book is a piece of garbage. It minimizes real abused children and quite frankly, it's just sick. I'm appalled that middle and high school student are required to read this waste of a tree.

David should be ashamed of himself. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars From one survivor to all of us others....
As a survivor myself, I immediately felt a heart connection with Nicole like no other author I've read on this trajic subject.I found myself nodding my head throughout the whole book, identifying with the many horrific sins done to us at the hands of those we trusted. This is the testimony of a brave little girl, who dared as a young woman to expose her wounds and scars to Jesus. It is her account of how Jesus takes our tattered and broken hearts and heals them in ways human hands and hearts never could. You won't have to remain the same after investing this time with Nicole.

2-0 out of 5 stars I wish I knew it was a religious book
The product description does not explain that this book is a highly religious book. If I wouldhave known I would not have bought it. It seems like a well written book for those who are religious minded Christians.

Anyone that has experienced childhood abuse will relate to this book in so many ways. A must read before reading Breathe.

5-0 out of 5 stars COMPLETE process of healing
I just wanted to say that this was a great book and a great resource for Christians dealing with abuse. When we adopted our boys three years ago and they started sharing with us their abuse we started looking for resources to help them and educate us on what to do to help them. Since then I've looked at and read a lot of stuff on abuse and unfortunately very few are faith based and don't have the healing message yours conveys. With this book God is helping me understand what my children are going through. Thanks!

5-0 out of 5 stars Powerful and soothing
I like the author's direct and passionate style. She holds nothing back and speaks about her own abuse. I am using the book and the journals for prison ministry, and Set Free has touched the hearts of its participants. Set Free begins by helping women feel worthy to call on God, and it encourages them to believe God has plans to give them a future. It's powerful but gentle and soothes hearts that are full of hurt. Author, With Great Mercy

5-0 out of 5 stars A book for those who hurt
Jan Coates knows what it's like to hurt. In this book she talks about that awful topic of sexual abuse. She does it with fine writing and because she knows the issues faced by abuse survivors. The many stories in the book display a wide variety of responses to abuse. This is worth reading

4-0 out of 5 stars stories of encouragement for abuse survivors
Jan Coates has written a collection of stories from the lives of abuse survivors including herself. She shows the reader how God can take even the worst experience and transform it. This book is encouraging and easy to read. I recommend it for people surviving abuse as well as those who work with them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Encouragement for broken lives...
Jan Coates is an accomplished writer and speaker who has weathered one of life's most tragic experiences--the loss of her only child to a drunk driver.Years prior to that life-altering event, though, Jan wrestled with the shame and guilt that plagues victims of child abuse.

Jan handed her life and her past over to Jesus Christ in 1983, and has witnessed his gentle, restorative work in her heart andlife.SET FREEis her gift to the world: a collection of touching, powerful stories by real women who were abused, yet rose above the pain and sense of hopelessness, with God's help. This book encourages those who have lived the nightmare of abuse; those who have found their way out; and those who need to understand that Jesus provides a way through any situation, no matter how grim.He is able to rescue us and heal us to the core.

Eleven chapters are followed by well-researched statistics, sources of help, discussion questions for implementing the book as a tool for group support, and more.My hat's off to Jan Coates for allowing God to mold her, use her, and share his love through this excellent book.

4-0 out of 5 stars Set Free to Speak
Abuse--no one wants to mention it. But if you've been the victim or love one of the survivors, you hope for answers. Set Free may just be what you're looking for.
Jan Coates writes candidly about the struggles of abuse in Set Free. She threads her own story along with six other women in an honest journey to be healed with God's power.
Coates does not snap her fingers to invoke spontaneous healing. On the contrary, sometimes the road is long. Jan admits the struggle, explores the road to recovery, and provides resources--all strengths in Set Free.
It's not easy to read about abuse, but in this fractured age there are generations of walking wounded who need to know there is hope.Jan Coates and others have been Set Free to speak to the pain. ... Read more

"In this remarkably powerful, wise, and compassionate book, Beverly Engel leads readers step by step through a program that will help survivors of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse in childhood to heal from their wounds so they don't need to re-enact their abusive pasts. She offers expert advice and strategies to help parents and would-be parents avoid doing to their children what was done to them and helps both abusers and victims in emotionally and physically abusive relationships make vitally important changes in their relationships."
--Susan Forward, Ph.D., author of Toxic Parents and Emotional Blackmail

In this breakthrough book, Beverly Engel, a leading expert on emotional and sexual abuse, explains how to stop the cycle of abuse once and for all. Her step-by-step program provides the necessary skills for gaining control over emotions, changing negative attitudes, learning healthy ways of communicating, healing the damage from prior abuse, and seeking out support.

5-0 out of 5 stars a must read for anyone who was abused
This book very thoroughly explains what constitues abuse, the effects and what to do about it once you are an adult. Beverly Engel has a way of presenting the truth without glossing it over but without leaving the reader feeling like he or she is powerless to change the future. This book explains how the cycle of abuse continues from generation to generation and gives concrete things that you can do to get off the victim/aggressor merry-go-round. Extremely insightful and thorough.

3-0 out of 5 stars This book would be a wonderful booklet
"Healing the Harm Done" covers a lot of ground. What's there is well written, and the author's compassion comes through clearly. If you are looking for an overview of the issues that will need to be addressed, especially with younger children, this book could be a good place to start.I work with teens and, unfortunately, anyone who works with teens has teens who have been sexually abused.I'm always on the lookout for tools and ways in which I can help facilitate healing. This book gives you information on the issues involved with healing and then recommends other books for parents to read to really facilitate the healing process.

The text itself is only about 35 pages altogether when you factor out the table of contents and the Spanish text. There are seven sections of information and suggestions. So, even though it's covering a lot of topics, each section is very short. This might be just what some parents need and want but I wish it would have been more clear to me before I bought the book.

"Healing the Harm Done" would be great as a booklet for police, doctors, and social workers (who might be able to buy the book in quantity) to hand out to parents as a jumping off point for information.(The book will tell you what to do, but doesn't always tell you how to do it.)For parents who want more detailed information, this may not be your best option.

I recommend that anyone considering buying this book read the excerpt.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST
I WORK WITH VICTIMS OF CRIMES AND HAVE BEEN IN LAW ENFORCEMENT AND VICTIM ASSISTANCE FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER GIVEN TO VICTIMS OF THIS TYPE OF CRIME AND RECEIVED NOTHING BUT PRAISE FROM PARENTS WHO HAVE LEARNED FROM IT. THE BOOK IS WELL WRITTEN FOR PARENTS TO READ AND UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY NEED TO DO TO HELP CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN ABUSED.I RECCOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANY PARENT OF AN ABUSED CHILD NOT ONLY TO HELP THE CHILD, BUT FOR GUIDANCE FOR PARENTS.

I would like to state that this book arrived in great condition. It also arrived in a timely manner, if need be I would order from this individual again. Thank you.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well Written
As far as books go I would have to say that this book, ranks up there as one of the best I have read. Extrememly well written. The author does an excellent job of pulling the reader in and making them understand. This book is in the same type of genre as two other books I have read that I find to be equally as good. Nightmares Echo and Courage to Heal. Each is excellent in its own right.

5-0 out of 5 stars begining to heal.....a definite winner
i found the book, beginning to heal to be a definite winner....especially when a friend of mine asked for more information about child sexual abuse....and i knew that the larger book...the courage to heal...would be extremely overwhelming.....

it gave my friend enough information to realize that she had been doing all the right things for me....believing...listening....supporting...and the section for friends/family, etc....helped her out too...to know when to take time for herself...and how to do it without jepordizing our friendship.....i recommend this book to anyone who wants to know just a little about child sexual abuse.....but isn't prepared to read a huge book....*though courage to heal is a faboulus book...just can be intimdidating unless you are ready to confront it....*

5-0 out of 5 stars Small but So Supportive ...
This title is small but packs alot of support and positive words toward the abuse victim. Chapter topics include HEALING IS POSSIBLE, THE DECISION TO HEAL, UNDERSTANDING THAT IT WASN"T YOUR FAULT, THE CHILD WITHIN andmore. All written with an under tone of support. There are also severalstories of abuse told from the surviving victims view. The title is filledwith insight and support and is best described as an excellent beginningpoint for those looking to heal. A very sensitive and difficult subjectthat is well addressed.

5-0 out of 5 stars excellent first book for survivors
As a therapist working with a population of young adults, I frequently see young people who are just beginning to deal with the impact of childhood sexual abuse on their lives.I have been looking for something to helpintroduce and give some preparation to clients who are needing to beginthis difficult work. I love the book the Courage to Heal, but have at timesfelt it's very size was a bit overwhelming for individuals who were askingfor just some glimpse of what it might mean to start to confront theirhistory of abuse. This book fits the bill and I am so grateful for havingfound it. The book is compact and thus, not so intimidating. It distillsout some of the most important information found in the original Courage toHeal. Especially valuable are the sections on identifying sexually abusivebehaviors, managing feelings of panic and dealing with the process ofremembering. ... Read more
