Another Helpful Resource
This book was very helpful in narrowing down my job selection process. Another resource I used was Planning Crossing, [...], to look for a job because, unlike many of its competitor's sites, Planning Crossing hosts jobs from only employer websites and supports many more jobs than any other site I have ever used. Do not buy this book
I do not recommend this book. It does not use realistic "SATlike" questions. It is full of ambiguities. While actual SAT questionsare also commonly quite ambiguous, the Cliffs book seems to misunderstandthe purpose of putting ambiguities into questions. In the real SAT, theambiguities are offered in order to distinguish one answer as clearly the'most correct.' The Cliffs questions are cheap imitations of the ETSquestions. While Cliffs maintains the ambiguity of real SAT questions, theyfail to establish a clear unarguably correct answer. Questions on the SAT,on the other hand, are much more 'self-defensive,' in the sense that theyhave exactly one correct answer, which cannot be argued easily. Cliffsmisinterprets the ambiguity in SAT questions. In particular, I do notrecommend the CD-ROM of this Cliffs studyware. It is horrible. It is thesame material of the book, of course, but the CD does not use theadvantages of using a computer. It is practically the same thing as thebook. I admit, it is very easy to use. Like microsoft products, itsacrafices content and depth for shallow user-friendliness. In addition,the Cliffs book is severely outdated.If you want to prepare for the SAT,check out Barrons or Princeton Review--do not look to Cliffs for help! ... Read more

Only used it for the Exams
If you need practice on the Exams use this book!It offers four of them! The only thing I did not like it does not give explanations for wrong answers!!!I passed the exam on the first try!!! I must admit I used Cracking the CBEST for majority of my studying!It uses great explanations!Do not waste you time with Kaplan!!! Good Luck!

Cliffs Helped Me Pass!
I took the CBEST last week 10/09/09, and I felt that the CliffsTestPrep CBEST and the Princeton Review "Cracking the CBEST" were the only books I needed.Out of the two books, I was more comfortable with the Princeton Review, but the Cliffs was nice because it has 4 practice tests.In addition it is very useful to go to the CBEST website and take their online or downloadable test.

With these three study guides, you too should be on your way to passing!

Great supplementary book!
This book has four practice tests which is very helpful in preparing for the CBEST.It is worthwhile to practice the entire test at one sitting since that better prepares you for the actual test day.
