Extractions: Our Preschool program begins with children two and older. Our curriculum is taught throughout the day, not just the morning hours. The academics consist of: history and current events, gross motor, fine motor, math, language development, art / creativity, science and discovery, imaginative play, and music for children ages over five. Each week the children participate in circle time and discuss what is going on in the world around them. Past events are presented to the children in order to stimulate thoughts. History is implemented into our current event curriculum to assist children in understanding why life is the way it is today and how it will be used to understand the future. Abacus has a large gym that is utilized at least two times a day by each classroom. Structured, planned games and exercises are a part of our gym time. There are three playgrounds. Every class has assigned outside playtime daily. Exercises in our classrooms or dancing to music are other ways in which we develop gross motor skills and coordination.
