Not a good description
My daughter needed "A Separate Peace" for her class, which I purchased from Amazon recently. It turned out that the copy I received was written for acting out a play! Nothing in the description even remotely said this particular copy was not the actual book, but a playwright copy. While I usually don't have issues with Amazon, I was NOT happy with them on this particular purchase!!

i thought this was supposed to be like a classic?
usually, i like reading classics, and i thought this sounded like a fairly good book. i was actually assigned to read it as one of the many novels i have to read for my advanced 10th grade englsih class. i was in no way impressed w/ this book. the whole time i was reading it, i was wondering why this was classified as great literature. i have come across VERY few books that i dislike, and am an avid reader, so this is saying something. ... Ol' guys really tell it like it is...
This easy to read book is just the ticket for a long plane flight or just kicking back in the barkalounger and taking the weight off.
The author does a really nice job of telling his story to the fishing and non-fishing reader in a style that is folksy, down home, and just the right amount of sugar. After reading these stories, I thouhgt that when it comes to my turn to write my story, that I can make the presentation accuratly, mend across the fast water, and finally catch and relese my reader. ... One of the greatest European playwrights
Ghosts and Other Plays is a seminal series of plays that combine humor with scathing social critique. Ibsen was not afraid to tackle weightier themes and taboos, in order to shock his audience out of their complacency. These plays demonstrate Ibsen's loathing of hyprocrisy, soulless institutions, the mandates of society which cause suffering (ie. Christianity). He has also been perceived as the figurehead for the emancipation of women from their traditional "place." That is not to say Ibsen is of dire seriousness or dry. His plays move quickly, the events in "Ghosts" for ex. occurring in less than a day. Ibsen is a great playwright whose works remain relevant and vital, in a consumerist society where people still remain afraid to defy cultural norms. ... Read more

Fantastic
The Bible Guide is the most informative book I've experienced to date. It's well laid out, very easy to read while being extremely enjoyable. This is the only book worth buying in my opinion and believe me, I've seen plenty of Bible guides and none of them even come close to this book. You'll need only two books in your possession - The Bible and its counterpart, The Bible Guide.

Keep an Open Mind
Great content, visuals and very easy to read. Very good resource for new Christians keeping in mind that this is a summary from one perspective. You may not agree with all conclusions, such as Adam and Eve not being the first humans, but the author does not shove his view down your throat.
