5-0 out of 5 stars Great explanation for what it's all about
This video really helped explain to me what exactly Dianetics is and how it works. The book is very long, and can be tough to get through - I'm in the middle of reading it now. But the video clarifies some of the basic concepts, so I fully understand the goals and basic theory behind it.

After watching the video, I felt competent to take my sister in session - and she really enjoyed the sessions and felt she made some progress in dealing with a terrible loss she experienced early in life. I felt great knowing I'd actually helped her!

I have watched the video a few times, and once I've finished the book, I'll watch it again.

3-0 out of 5 stars Enable you in 30 minutes
Dianetics is a kind of psychotherapy, using memory flash back rehearsal to clear unpleasant experiences that subconsciously lead to negative impacts. For details, you may want to read the 600 pages best seller book Dianetics by the same author Ron Hubbard, but this DVD is able to give you a quick sample and taste of Dianetics in half hour.

The DVD contains no extra features but you can select a langauge from a variety of choices, no subtitles but english close captioned. The total run time is about 40 minutes not the 100 minutes stayed in the technical information page at amazon.com. The film shows you how Dianetics works in three parts: (1) Understanding our mind, sensors, & memory, (2) Dianetics What/Why/How, (3) Demonstration on how you & your friends can conduct a Dianetics auditing session.

Overall, I find it's interesting, easy to understand, and the concept is very close to some Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques. Especially the last part about conducting a Dianetics auditing session, it's very detailed and shows you in step-by-step way of what the auditor should say and do. The DVD also includes a pamphlet that states all the steps and procedures for running a Dianetics session. It's very helpful. It will be much appreciated if the DVD provides more different auditing scenarios and detail concepts.

5-0 out of 5 stars This DVD is excellent
This DVD is a must for everyone who is doing well in life and anyone who is not. It answers questions previously unknown for centuries.

In the opening words of this book hubbard says - you are begining an adventure, treat it as an adventure and may you never be the same again.

5-0 out of 5 stars A REALLY valuable way to spend an hour!
I strongly urge anyone interested in improving conditions in life to watch this DVD, I have never actually seen a DVD like this before.
When I was in High School, I flunked out really bad from Psych classes and never could understand the books.
The Dianetics DVD actually sets the whole subject straight.
This DVD really is an excellent piece and gave me and my 12 year old niece the ability to apply Dianetics (I read the book priorly) and it really does work!

5-0 out of 5 stars Makes it so easy!
If you ever wanted to help someone, this is the video to watch and use.I really loved the Dianetics book, but I found this video distilled the most salient points in the book so that you can start to use the techniques to help someone. At times like these, when so many people have suffered loss from the September 11th attacks, and most of our friends, neighbors and family could use a hand coping with further threats, this technology is all-the-more relevant, and this video helps put the tools right in your hands. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great for a long commute
As a daily commuter, I am always on the lookout for good quality audiobooks.Unfortunately, many otherwise good books are ruined in audiobook format by overly theatrical readings, or poor voice talent.
In the case of the Dianetics audiobook, I rate it among the highest quality in both sound recording and in the excellent rhythm of the reader's voice.
Additionally, this was a great book to start with.(see my other review of the Dianetics paperback)
Five stars and well worth the price!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good sound quality for an audiobook
When I was reading the paperback version, sometimes I would listen to the audiobook at the same time.It is very well paced (the speed of the person's reading), and the audio was very clear.Whoever they chose for the recording of this book was very good, and the benefit of listening to the audio is is helps pull you through the book at a nice pace.Definitely worth getting if you do a lot of driving or just prefer audio.

5-0 out of 5 stars dianetics audio set

THESE ARE LECTURES FROM THE FIRST TWO, OF L. RON HUBBARD'S WORLD CONGRESSES. When it comes to "being there with Ron," there is nothing closer than hearing his Congress Lectures-and that is precisely what LRH intended when he first presented them. While Ron's books contain the summaries of breakthroughs and conclusions as they appeared in the developmental research track, his lectures provide the running day-to-day record of research and explain the thoughts, conclusions, tests and demonstrations that lay along that route. In that regard, they are the complete record of the entire research track, providing not only the most important breakthroughs in Man's history, but the why and how Ron arrived at the The 1955 Lecture series, the Anatomy of the Spirit of Man Congress, SELLING NEW FOR $225, reveals that your body isnt going to handle anything; nor is your mind. There's only one thing that can handle it all YOU. Here is the Congress marking the milestone of technical advance where Ron parted completely from an address to the body. And to the sole therapeutic agent in this universe - the Spirit of Man. This is the momentous event where it was all announced, by Ron himself. The 1956 Lecture series, the Games Congress, SELLING NEW FOR $200, presents answers to a basic enigma: If theta is Cause, why do people hold on to aberrations, crave problems and avoid solutions? All this and more is unraveled in the Games Congress. Here is Ron's breakthrough and original explanation of Games Theory - Games Conditions, No-Games Conditions, the elements and anatomy of Games, why they become "serious," and how to recover the exhilarating joy of true play. Product Description

Lance Gordon killed his father’s murderer in a fair fight, but now he’s got a price on his head and had been running from the law ever since. Cornered by men of the US Calvary in Santos, Lance gets rescued by a mystery man who convinces him to join forces and go after a notorious cattle rustler up the infamous Coyote River.   Even together the pair stands barely a chance of bringing the gang of thieves to account, much less dealing with the soldiers still hot on their trail.

5-0 out of 5 stars Two stories, different approaches, equally entertaining
These days, L. Ron Hubbard's name is largely connected with the antics of the some of the more "outspoken" members of Scientology, overshadowing the fact that the man really knew how to tell an entertaining story. All 150 of the stories Hubbard wrote for the pulp magazines of the 1930s and '40s are being rereleased in paperback and audio under the evocative title Stories from the Golden Age.

The audiobooks are a professionally produced combination of traditional audiobooks, with narration deftly handled by actor R.F. Daley, and old-time radio, with skilled actors, genre-specific music, and sound effects. The Baron of Coyote River contains two stories: the title work and "Reign of the Gila Monster."

In "The Baron of Coyote River" (originally published in All Western in September 1936), Lance Gordon is an outlaw with a price on his head and a chip on his shoulder. He's wanted for the revenge murder of his father's killer, McCloud, and he's tired of running. So, when he's faced with capture by Captain Anderson of the U.S. Cavalry, he decides to go down fighting.

A local man named Tyler admires Gordon's sand and gives him a chance to escape. Holding off the cavalry temporarily, Tyler gives Gordon a horse and a destination: "the Coyote River this time tomorrow." But Tyler isn't risking Anderson's wrath for his health; he's got a job for Gordon: infiltrate the 3B Ranch, stomping grounds of the mysterious cattle rustler known as the Baron, and report back. (Tyler was rather attached to his cows.)

Author L. Ron Hubbard adds welcome touches of humor to this story of a fight against frontier injustice. A particular highlight is when Tyler (played by Fred Tatasciore), spouts off a long-winded telegram while holding off gunfire from his pursuers as Gordon frantically writes it all down. Also, the great pacing of director Jim Meskimen and realistic sound effects put the listener right in the middle of a stampede, adding to the suspense already created by Hubbard's sharp descriptions.

Martin Yurchak takes an unusual tack and hardly plays Gordon as a hero; his performance is, in fact, quite reminiscent of Shaun Duke's villainous Charley Pearson in Six-Gun Caballero. Also, as in that book, some timely government paperwork saves the day in "The Baron of Coyote River," though not in quite as satisfying a manner.

In a change of pace from other audiobooks in the Stories from the Golden Age series, actor Bruce Boxleitner handles narration duties on "Reign of the Gila Monster," the second story contained in The Baron of Coyote River audiobook. (Listeners may remember Boxleitner from Scarecrow and Mrs. King or Babylon 5 but may not know he is also the author of the sci-fi Western Frontier Earth.)

Regular listeners may miss R.F. Daley's solid presence, but Boxleitner's slightly raspy tone is an effective substitute, offering another perspective on the narration. In fact, Boxleitner may be a mite more accessible, sounding somewhat like a favorite uncle telling the story.

A seven-foot-two jasper named Gilman (locally known as the Gila Monster) terrorizes Powderville from the marshal's seat: no drinking, gambling, spitting, or freeloading. Town founder Howdy Johnson (who intended Powderville to be the "mecca of the trail") takes action against the oversized superman because "even Hannibal had his Waterloo."

Hubbard shows his flair for the tall tale in "Reign of the Gila Monster" (originally published in Western Aces in September 1937) especially in his increasingly outrageous descriptions of the title character: "His hat ... looked bigger than an umbrella." "He had once stepped on [a] hound dog, and ... not even an inch of the animal's tail was visible." "He could take a bottle of whiskey in his hand, close his finger, and say, 'Which one have I got it in?'" This must have taxed even Hubbard's considerable skill for hyperbole.

Fred Tatasciore voices Gilman with the appropriate resonance and power, and subtlety is not called for with a character whose quietest tone can still be heard at the city limits. Prolific character actor Martin Kove (the Karate Kid trilogy and over 100 other movies) plays Howdy Johnson with just the right balance of "civic pride" and vice protection. It is a welcome departure from the traditional Western, this twist on the norm, with the villain fighting for "good" and the hero trying to keep the "bad" status quo.

I found both stories in The Baron of Coyote River to be highly entertaining, though they have very different approaches, with "Reign of the Gila Monster" probably in the lead just due to its novel take on the Western. Both, however, will entertain pulp fiction fans, and especially those of us who enjoy a good audiobook.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Johnny Depp type and a Richard Kiel type together in ONE Audiobook !!!
Starring the voices of: Martin Kove, Bruce Boxleitner and Jim Meskimen.
BARON is about a wronged gunslinger and his unlikely compadre who fight against illegal cow stealing,Corrupt cavalry and mistaken identity.
This sounds like a real time reading of an old dime novel that was about Custer,Jesse James or some other gunslinger of the day.
The backup tale on this audiobook is REIGN of the GILA MONSTER,Although shorter this tale held my interest perhaps more and its the one that had ALL THE STARS.
I heard the image of RICHARD'Jaws'KIEL, as the character in story ...And Richard was no where near this audio tale,But,It could have been him...Except L.Ron wrote this in the'40s and Richard would have been a kid and nowhere near his famous size of today.
Good script and voices and amusing premise to plot. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars No replacement for the hardcover
I owned the hardcover edition of this book, and it was one thing I almost always carried around with me. I would read snippets of it from time to time or, if I met someone with a problem that I thought the book could solve, I would show them the excerpt from the book.

I carried the hardcover edition in my backpack, without the dust jacket, because I thought that would be ruined.

When I saw this paperback edition, I thought, "Hey! Why not get the lighter edition so my pack isn't so heavy?"

Big mistake. The cover, spine and back of the book got totally trashed. I should have figured that would happen, because I sling my pack all over the place. I didn't actually want to show anyone the book any more because I'd accidentally ruined it.

Recommended uses for the softcover: get it for the cheaper price if that matters to you. It will do fine around the house or (carefully) transported from place to place. It is actually very durable - I even spilled coffee on the cover once and I was able to clean it right off! It just couldn't handle the conditions on set, where I usually am.

Also, if you want to gift the book to a bunch of people, the softcover edition is obviously easier on your wallet. Yes, your friends and family could benefit by a copy of the book, but you can also benefit by not spending all your money on giving it to them! Not that a few bucks is THAT big of a deal, but it is a tough economy right now and every little bit helps.

This is a great book, though, and I like to have it with me. So if you want to carry it around like a "life manual" of sorts, I would recommend getting the hardcover edition. You can buy it here:

The Problems of Work

5-0 out of 5 stars When you love reading
For those of us who love to read, this book will really cause you to consider certain aspects of your life and have some fresh ideas. Usually we are always thinking about how we have to "get away" "have some time off" or other idea about work, not that this is wrong -- I love time off too!Hubbard does put forward some new ideas about work and how important it is to us.It definitely made me value my work more and see it in a different light.

Some people like only novels, some like only biographies, some like romances... I am one of those people that really likes philosophy, self-help and books about how to make each day a little better. This book is right up there with some of the best I have ever read.

Very, very well-written and compelling.I read it twice.

Highly recommended!

5-0 out of 5 stars THIS IS ONE GREAT BOOK!!!!!
I wasn't sure a book about work would be fun to read. Or even worth reading.

What a pleasant surprise this book turned out to be!

As I learned in the introduction, Scientology is a broad science of life and has many, many applications.

This book assists both the worker and the executive. This will result in man being more competent and more able, less tired and more secure in the workaday world. Who doesn't want that?

I know that the technology of Scientology is already in use in many offices, corporations, schools and churches.

THE PROBLEMS OF WORK contains the senior principles and laws which apply to every endeavor, every problem of work that one encounters.

You will find out about:

- What does holding a job depend?

- Handling the confusions of the workaday world.

- Is work necessary?

- The secret of efficiency.

- Life as a game

- Affinity, reality and communication

- Exhaustion (loved this one!)

- The man who succeeds.

I highly recommend it.

Read it and use it!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVED THIS BOOK!
I was so impressed with the simplicity and usefulness of this modest book.

The information here allows one to immediately apply it to his life and, especially, his work.

While reading along, I realized that my attitudes were changing. And in the best of ways. I found myself actually getting rejuvenated and interested in work and groups again!

This book contains the tools that one needs to live life with vigor and interest, to enlist support from one's group and to succeed in the work place as well as in life.

Was I surprised to gain so much? Well, yes actually. But, I am beginning to understand why so many good people follow the philosophy of Mr. Hubbard.

He's gathered the best of the best for us. And he has put it into a workable philosophy.

I am grateful, and I'm thrilled to have found this gem of a book!

5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for the student of Scientology
From the publishers website:

Containing the senior principles and laws which apply to every problem of work, here are the discoveries which lay bare the core of these problems and explain the very fabric of life itself.

* Learn the "secret" of efficiency
* Find out the rock-bottom cause of exhaustion, how to eliminate it and return the energy of youth ... Read more

Study is a process of knowing how to read and understand data so that you can use it in your life.

Successful study leads to self-satisfaction and success. It is only unsuccessful when you hit the three barriers to study and don’t know what to do about them. These barriers, enough to make a slow learner out of any student, are the only reasons one gets distracted or can’t concentrate. Study Skills for Life shows how to handle them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love It! Love It! Love It!
I got the book, and it was not exactly what I expected (It had more illustrations than I thought it would). The content was phenomenal though. It will continue to help me tremendously with my teaching and tutoring. I know understand why students get stuck and frustrated and even if I am not able to convince them of the reasons for their frustrations I am able to help them through them using the techniques found in this book. It is an excellent resource for educators and parents!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is great for anyone having reading difficulties!
I helped my son and an adult get through the course that is included in this book. They had wonderful results!

The adult was a guy who went through the public school system - 20 years in the workforce - but just felt his literacy level wasn't what it should be. He had never really learned the simplest grammar rules, and was confused about a lot of what he read.

When my son did this course, he was 9 years old. It was great for both people. The steps are laid out clearly - without all the "confusion" usually found in grammar instruction.

I always did very well in English classes, and always earned an "A" in English on my report cards - I read a great deal, too. But even I learned a lot from this course!

It's just so simple, anyone with a 4th grade reading level can do it. But it doesn't "talk down" to the student, so it's appropriate for adults, too.

The pictures are fun, and the cartoonist who drew them was a Disney cartoonist! The pages are nice and big, too. The hardback version is very nicely bound and can both it and the paperback can put up with a bit of abuse. (I have six kids, this is important to me!)

Highly recommended for any parent, teacher or tutor. Or anyone who knows someone whose literacy level could use a gentle but effective boost!

(I do recommend the "Learning How to Learn" book or the "Study Skills for Life" book be studied first.)

1-0 out of 5 stars You're kidding, right?
So - from reading the description - I expected some humorous suspension of reality, and a good escapist story.I also expected, from an award winning (?) writer picked to share billing with L. Ron Hubbard, a somewhat decent writing style. Then - reading the preface and learning that the author spent time in research on the Mayans, traveling to Southern Illinois - great, I thought - this guy has spent his time getting a feel for the subject.I, apparently - am an idiot.

From the early Western TV show stereo-typical Indian squaws able to quickly understand (and not fear) how to use modern weaponry like an M-16, to experimental weaponry that shot holographic Pekinese (no, I'm not kidding) - the story started out fun and spiraled into painful hilarity.

My hopes for solid research results were shattered when the story ended up in the Mayan era - one of the squaws sees a fort and proclaims 'That's Fort de Chartres' - and the the author goes on to describe Cahokia Mounds.Unfortunately, as my home town is 4 miles from Fort de Chartres, and my mother was the former Site Manager for Cahokia Mounds (and also worked at and researched the Fort extensively) - at this point - I lost any remaining shred of respect. One was a 16th - 17th century French fort, the other (about 40 miles away) was a very impressive Mayan base of civilization from around 1100AD.If you're going to use research and tout it - then please make it reasonably accurate!

So - fortunately- having bought this book for a $1 at a dollar store - I felt I got about half it's worth - and plenty of amusement. But - that's just me.:-)

3-0 out of 5 stars Novelization of an unproduced screenplay.
The book was published in 1999 but it's set (the "present" part of it, that is) in 1991, just after the fall of the Soviet Union. Dumphee, the hero, drives a military vehicle with a russian time machine and experimental weapons. Some of the references to current events must have felt outdated when the book was published and they're no less so today. But its biggest problem is the plot's lack of direction. It's a very strange trip indeed, but it still feels like it's going nowhere.

The novel was written by Wolverton based on a screenplay by Hubbard, and it shows. I get the feeling this story would have been more fun as a movie than as a novel.

Eight years after its publication, "A very Strange Trip" still hasn't been published in mass market paperback. If it had been available as a low priced paperback, fans of the authors might have wanted to check it out, but it's not worth getting as a full price hardcover.

2,5/5.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing: A Very Strange Trip
This book was very disappointing to me.I've always been a big fan of Wolverton's StarWars books and I never knew he wrote other types of stories. With Wolverton's name and an awesome cover, I couldn't resist buying this one.And the inside flap summary sounded interesting enough.

What I soon found out, though, was that that's ALL I had bought: a name and a cover.I think Wolverton did his best to salvage this story; after all, the plot flowed okay and was a fun, light read.I was through with this book in a single afternoon and it was easy enoguh to get through. However, I think Wolverton's talent as a writer could have better been spent on another Science Fiction piece of his own, not a rehashing of a rehashing of somebody else's ideas.

The storyline (i.e. Hubbard's original idea) was fatally flawed. It lacks the one thing that every good Science Fiction flick needs: Credibility, a real idea expanded in a unique way.It seems as though Hubbard took some 10 year old Cold War sentiments and the time machine cliche, stuck them together in a blender, and then poured the words out on paper as Russian contraband weapons and mysterious time travel devices.I could go on for hundreds of words about this, so I'll just sum it up: the story was boring, unoriginal, and unrealistic.

Maybe worth a library checkout if you're really into time travel stories, but overall I found it lacking in the elements of a good science fiction piece.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointing book.
I was excited to read this book because I enjoy time travel books and have always been impressed with L. Ron Hubbards writing.According to theintroduction of the book, Hubbard wrote the story as a screenplay and thenDave Wolverton converted it into a book.Usually, things go the other wayand people say "compared to the book, the movie stunk!"In thiscase, unfortunately, the book stunk.I read about 50 pages before I beganwondering if it was a pre-teen book.I read 50 more and began wondering ifI was wasting my time.I was certainly wasting my time. The charactersare preposterously simple and unrealistic. The scenarios they encounterare never set up well and the characters reactions are out of a saturdaymorning cartoon. The protagonist is a near imbecile and he is by far themost intelligent character in the entire story.Save your time and money, this one misses the mark.

3-0 out of 5 stars A less than exciting trip through time.
I like L. Ron Hubbard's style and have read many of his books. This book may have had his name on it, but it didn't even come close to being a Hubbard novel.

The premise of time travel with a military vehicle was aninteresting one. The story went along fine until three indian squaws cameinto the picture.Dave Wolverton depicts the squaws as being illiterate, dumb and drunk.I did not appreciate the way he portrayed them.

Thenovel has some interesting sequences and isn't a bad read if you just wantlight reading. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars A Tale of Two Authors
The first section of "All About Radiation" is mostly standard fare, including basic information about radiation. It makes a few serious errors (for example, implying more than once that radiation travels slower than light), but if it were all the book consisted of, I wouldn't have a serious problem with the book (the false information would only give false hope to people who are about to die- I suppose that's not the most serious of issues, although I dislike that it misinforms the reader at all). It is the second part which is the reason I am giving this book one star, as I am about to explain.

The second part of the book consists of a series of 'lectures' by L Ron Hubbard, and presents a continuous stream of lies and garbled information. Within the first two pages of this section, L Ron Hubbard goes from claiming to have been in "the first class in nuclear physics [...] which was taught at the George Washington University", to claiming that he was, in fact, 'trained as' a nuclear physicist. This is a serious misrepresentation: while he did indeed take a physics course at George Washington University (I do not know whether it was the first or not), he failed the course, and soon dropped out of college altogether, never having taken another physics course. So he starts by misrepresenting his qualifications, and things quickly go downhill from there.

Among his more astonishingly false claims are that the unit of human memory is the tiniest particle in the universe, that radiation is either a particle or wavelength, but that nobody can say for sure which, that radiation can be defined as "a capability of influencing matter, and that that capability can be exerted across space", that gamma rays float in the air, and that, well, I'll have to use two small quotes here, because no one would believe that he really said this if I paraphrased it: "A sixteen foot wall cannot stop a gamma ray but a body can. We thus get down to our number one medical question: How is it that gamma rays go through walls but don't go through bodies?", and, shortly thereafter, he answers this question by saying "I can fortunately tell you what is happening when a body gets hurt by atomic radiation. It RESISTS the rays! The wall doesn't resist the rays and the body does."

He also claims Alfred Nobel invented dynamite and TNT in order to make war too horrible to contemplate (while I believe Nobel said, after inventing them, that it would be the case that it would make war too horrible to contemplate, as far as I know, he invented them for civilian excavation purposes); that diseases are caused by cures (yes, seriously); that the fact that diseases are caused by cures is a result of genetics (as my own undergraduate studies were in genetics, this is not only laughably wrong, but a grossly offensive misrepresentation of the state of scientific knowledge of the 1950s, when this book was written); that a treatment he is calling "Dianazene" (consisting of, according to him; nicotinic acid (aka niacin), ferrous gluconate, vitamin b1 (aka thiamine), vitamin b2 (riboflavin), vitamin c, and dicalcium phosphate) will "run out" radiation and prevent the harmful effects (a laughably wrong claim - the primary long-term harmful effect of radiation is damage to the structure of DNA by ionizing radiation, damage which cannot at all be prevented or repaired by this combination); that "dianazene" will cause and then treat cancer (again, laughably false); that the sun is powered by nuclear fission; that Arabs and Indians are, without the aid of Scientologists, INCAPABLE of living in anything, essentially, resembling a civilized fashion; and a completely wrong explanation of how fission reactors work, involving an electron gun (I have heard of a design using a synchrotron to accelerate protons, but electrons would only ionize an atom, not cause fission).

These are merely the more egregious errors in this text, and they alone show that L Ron Hubbard was not only not the expert he claimed to be, but was in fact, dangerously misinformed. While the first portion of the book would be a tolerable, if unremarkable, short read on radiation (assuming the errors about radiation traveling slower than the speed of light were fixed), the second (and longer) part of the book is unconscionable, and as a result of the vast technical errors in the book, I can only condemn it in the strongest possible terms. The only good reason to buy this book is to laugh at the glaring errors in it. If you are looking for a factual reference on radiation DO NOT buy this book.

2-0 out of 5 stars "Dr." (!!!) L. Ron Hubbard flunked his one course in physics
L. Ron Hubbard flunked his one course in physics, but this didn't stop him from telling people that he was a nuclear physicist. He even gave lectures where he claimed that radiation was water soluble, amongst other now discredited claims.

From the 1950s to the mid 1980s, Hubbard claimed that he was a nuclear physicist on the cover of this book, 'All About Radiation'; and then, after Hubbard kicked the bucket in 1986, at a relatively young age, the book cover was changed.

In 1986, Hubbard's early demise was rationalized to his followers as being his having, "causatively discarded the healthy body because it was an impediment to research," in other words his followers were told he had committed suicide even though his health was excellent.

The sheep-like Scientologists stood and applauded

Bizarre.

After Hubbard's (publicly proclaimed) suicide, the PR people in Scientology decided to change the cover of 'All About Radiation', and to stop claiming to the "wogs" (Scientology term for outsiders) that their founder and guru had been a nuclear physicist.

Too many people knew it was a lie, and it wasn't "working" anymore.

Since then, the present cover for 'All About Radiation' has been used.

An unintentionally amusing book.

5-0 out of 5 stars Purification Process Saved My Life
Loved the book. I gained interest in the Scientology Purification Process from reading this book. Recently retired after twenty years in the army airborne and special operations I have been plagued by bad health; the stories of which I will not bore you with. Some doctors I have consulted refered me to the poisons I was exposed to in Iraq during Desert Storm.I did the "Purif" and many substances just came right out of my pores. One day I had a sunburn come up and my purif partner pointed out you could easily see where I was wearing a tank top t-shirt.Sure enough the sunburn ended where my shirt was covering me.Since doing this process my health is back, and there is hope in my life.

5-0 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this book
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to know how things really are in terms of radiation on this planet and who wants to know what one can do about it. This books is also a great introduction to the Purification program which is the spiritual handling of radiation, drugs and toxins in one's body, that prevent spiritual advancement for an individual.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent eye-opener
I've studied the effect of radiation before but never have I had it put so clearly. This book, having been written by Dr. Gene Denk, Dr. Farley R. Spink and L. Ron Hubbard, gives you a clear cut view of the effect ofradiation on the body, the spirit and on society as a whole. This bookmade the radiation as a subject very clear to me.

I now know whatradiation is and how to protect my self and family from it effects.Iwould highly HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to ANYONE.

A real eye-opener. ... Read more
