The invincible book
How did Osiris die?
Who took the throne then?
Who is the eye of the sun?

You can find all the answers in this book. Through this amazing novel, many Egyptian myths are told with dramatic pictures and excitment. The myths in this book are the most exciting myths out of all of them. Even if you read the book once, you'll want to read it agian! Each story will capture your imagination each time.At the end of the book there is also a short lesson on writing hieroglyphics. All in all, this book adds up to be the best book I've ever read.

Great Book on Ancient Egpyt
This is one of the best, most informative books I've ever read. I am teaching my son about ancient civilizations and came across this book. I picked it up and couldn't put it down until I finished it. The bookcontains serially related myths from ancient Egypt and is written in a veryengaging style. The author is clearly an expert on ancient Egyptiancivilization and writes very well. The chapters are of a length appropriatefor bedtime story reading as well as for school-related activity.Furthermore, there is a nice taxonomy of the ancient Egyptian"pantheon" and an interesting, if too short, discussion of glyphwriting. Hidden Turnings
Hidden Turnings, edited and assembeled by Diana Wayne-Jones, is a teriffic collection of short stories mostly in the science-fiction, or fantasy genre.This book contains short stories such as Fifty-Fafty, The Master (my personal favorite), and many more.I only gave this book three stars because although I liked Hidden Turnings, it was an average book, with not many exceptional features.It wasn't written that well, and I found that many of the characters lacked emotion, making some of the stories somewhat borring.This book was also just a bit below my reading and interrest level.It was probably for the 10 to 13 year old age group.
Over all though, this was a good book and you should consider reading it. ... Read more

I Couldn't Wait for Book Two
I just couldn't wait to get a hold of book two! I read it from cover to cover without putting it down, and then cried my eyes out. Once again Ms. Harris has outdone herself, and left me feeling fulfilled but wanting more.

The Story will grip you hard.
English is not my naitive tongue, so you've got to excuse me for my bad english.

Tabrega, it's nice to know that someone from Korea other than myself loved this series,too.
You know it has been translated twice in Korea, ealry 90s and a year ago(2001).When I first encountered the series, I was a college student,quite an adult, but, I cried my eyes out because the story was so beautiful and well written, you could feel the pain of the characters as if it were your own.

This time I'll try English version, but, sadly it seems very difficult to get a copy.

Lovely continuation
It's a pity the Seven Citadels books haven't done better in the U.S. (I understand they do well in the U.K.).Perhaps they should have been released as one novel; certainly, understanding what's going on is easierhaving read all four...which took me years to acquire through usedbookstores.

Harris writes a fantasy quest...but it's a quest withwell-drawn characters and cultures, and avoids the all-too-common"stableboy discovers he's the heir and must go on a quest for items X,Y and Z to save thw world" epic theme that's been abused by countlessauthors (no names named).

It's about Kerish-lo-Taan, spoiled Prince ofthe Godborn who must come into his own strengths and acknowledge hisweaknesses; his brother Forollkin, a soldier, who must accept his brother'sstrengths; the fate of Galkis, their homeland lying besieged by corruptionwithin and invaders without.If you can find the books, read them.It'sworth your time.

The best, fanstatic story that I have ever read
In Korea, this lovely book of Gerladine Harris is not well known. I read this only by chanace and completely fascinated but I have never met someonewho also read this and comment the same things aS I do. It's too bad.

The best book in the series!
The second book in The Godborn series is probebly the best book in the series. Some new and wonderful characters are introduced and you can't put this book down once you start.A must for anyone who enjoys this series. ... Read more

A first hand view of prejudice
