In the year 2000 a CEO of an AIDS drug manufacturer, Conrad Bernstein, finalizes the purchase of an artificial intelligence company, Cali AI. He tours the firm and falls victim to an industrial accident. They cryogenically freeze him and Bernstein inadvertently awakens in the year 2049. In the future he encounters an Eastern mystic, Yogi Profel Yogananda, who acts as his unwanted mentor. Through the sage, the CEO learns the World Trade Center blew up and a terrorist group smuggled nuclear weapons into the USA and Europe, causing a nuclear holocaust. Bernstein also learns the USA was destroyed by an asteroid and America is now considered a collection of islands. In this new epoch, Bernstein’s first wife acts as his love interest. A Very Good Sci-Fi Book
Prescience Rendezvous is about a CEO named Conrad Bernstein who is cryogenically frozen and is awakened in 2049. He meets up with an Eastern mystic, Yogi Profel Yogananda who helps him learn about the past 50 years starting with the terrorist attacks in America on September 11, 2001. Somehow, Conrad has to return to the past and change the future that he's now in. Can he do it? Only the mystic may be able to help him.

The book is simple to read, and the plot is easy to follow. But don't let that fool you. The story touches on various subjects that are relevant today like AIDS, cloning, and artificial intelligence (AI). It's the AI versions of G.W. Bush and Oprah Winfrey that supply humor in the book. There's action too, and a surprise ending that will make people glad that they read Prescience Rendezvous. If you like stories by Philip K. Dick, you'll like this one by Paul Collins. ... Read more
