Another Sten adventure!
Once again Sten goes up against the forces of evil for the emperor. Lots of battles, covert activities, and the standard bad Scottish joke!A+ all the way, but you get the hint that something isn't quite right in the empire, or with the emperor for that matter.Sets the stage for the next installment.

Another good Cole &Bunch Sci-fi book
This is a great Sci-fi novel that mixes in a lot of action, and great plot and an even better backround. The story follows the actions of Sten, a great secret operations soilder of the future and his actions after the fall of the huge empire that had run for thousands of years, with its ruler the emporo, being assinated. In the following power grab, Sten finds himself back in action. There is plenty of supense in this book, and I was drawn into the story and found myself reading chapter after chapter, saying just one more page. Nothing short of a great book. ... Read more

Wanting more.......
In this book, the introduction explained that each sub-topic- loner, loser and rebel has been identified with each of the three authors who collaborated on this book. It was interesting to read about each man's journey through boyhood, family and adolescence. As a parent and a minister (PC(USA)), I was hoping to read more profound conclusions from these three well trained scholars. I was disappointed with some of their insights and even mildly surprised at some of their mini-conclusions. That boys who are loners, losers or rebels at young ages may grow into spiritual beings was more or less the jacket cover summary. I was hoping for more meat once I read beyond the back of the book and I was disappointed. ... Read more
