2-0 out of 5 stars Bland
I was intrigued by this new series, and wondered what it might be like. Ultimately, I was disappointed in the series, because it doesn't have the whole multigenerational family secrets/drama theme that made a VCA book. When this first book came out, i still had faith in Neiderman and was still excited when a new series was penned. Now nearly ten years later, Neiderman has gotten even worse. Amazingly, this book is decent compared to his current novels (Gemini, April Shadows, Broken Flower, Attic Secrets, Heavenstone) but the drama in this book feels more contrived, almost like a teenager wrote it with drama and weirdness in mind. There was some effort here, but ultimately this book falls flat due to the whole drama with Cinnamon's mother, the miscarriage, Grandmother Beverly, and the like. I honestly can't recommend this for anything more than a cheap and entertaining (barely) read.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thank god!!!
I loved this book. Sin-aman really is a mature girl and I can relate to her in a very neutral way... I'm actually glad she found better ground by end of the book. She's a cool girl and has lots of talent. So it's no surprise that she got accepted into a prestigious school?!

2-0 out of 5 stars Meh
As much as I love V.C. Andrews, however formulaic they can be, this one was just too bland. Sure, she deviates a little bit from the usual v.c. andrews heroines by being "goth", but even that wore thin rather fast. It just didn't have enough dramatic suspense(c'mon the biggest twist is that the grandmother is a nasty old crone). It might have been better as a full scale book, so more attention could've been paid to character developement. The mini-series are just gettting progressively weaker.

1-0 out of 5 stars terrible.
This book was boring and completely dragged. Maybe if I was ten years younger and in the sixth grade I'd like it. I liked the idea of Cinnamon's character, but she was so poorly developed, and her story was too. Yuck! These "minibooks" have got to stop. I refuse to buy another one of them.

2-0 out of 5 stars *sigh*
I think this mutated semblance of literature needs to be crushed in the iron grip of "out of print" as does most of the poor dead idiotic ramblings of "the Ghost Writer" *cough* Andrew Neiderman.
Every word that floated into my vision from that most horrible book made me want to throw up all over again.
Oh and goodie-goodie! She's a goth! Yay! Diversity! *NOT* Everyone in highschool doesn't beat the different popularity over the head with a stick. It may just be my highschool, but I'm pretty much the picture people get in their heads when you say "non-conformist" and guess what, I have a.) never been accused of being a lesbian with my teacher b.) never had my mother go crazy for a month then come back and c.) never had a putrid evil half-mad grandmother.
Andrew had better have some body-guards, old Cleo V. Andrews might roll out of her grave and make an attemp on his life if this keeps up.
2 stars for the lack of romantic interest she had for her family members. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars dissapointed
im being generous giving the book 3 stars as i believe it was poorly written and got boring in places to be honest the only thing that really kept me interesed was the continuous insestual relationship between cathy and chris, but it was silly because throughout most of the book cathy is saying she doesn't love chris like that so what does she do at the end???
jump back into bed with him!!!!! i still believe their relationship is unique and was pleased when she eventually chose chris we all knew it was gonna happen so what was all that crap with the guys before hand y din't cathy save herself a lot of time and let chris have her at the beginning?? oh well now that they are together i am even more intrigued to how their relationship will develop in the next book so im gonna read that. this book was nothing compared to flowers but read it to get you filled in on the next book which should be better.

5-0 out of 5 stars By far the best of the Series....
It's told by Cathy and goes into her life...she becomes a ballerina...falls in love has a kid, falls out of love, falls in love again, has another kid...etc etc...the mother still ignores her in this book...Marvelous ! marvelous! V.C. Andres CANNOT go wrong!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Changing for the Better
Petals in the Wind is V.C. Andrews's sequel to Flowers in the Attic. The sequel is just as good as the first book. Andrews takes her readers through many emotional twists and turns with her characters. In Petals in the Wind Cathy, Chris, and Carrie have escaped from their mother's evil ways. They get ona bus and head for FLorida. On their was to Florida, they meet a nice doctor who takes them in and gives them the chance to live again. The doctor helps the children pursue their dreams. She puts the children back in school. Cathy also strives for her dream to be a prima ballerina. Cathy attracts many men throughout the story, and some will be hard to believe. Cathy is always longing for revenge on her mother; she wants her mother to endure the pain that her children went through. The moral of this story is that change is good. Things can always change for the better. Andrews again outdid herself in this book and it is always amazing to see how well she depicts her characters and lets you know exactly how they are feeling. this book is a must read for young adults.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this book

4-0 out of 5 stars An interesting read
My Review:
This book started out a little slow but it quickly picked up my interest by the 4th chapter. All I can say is that Misty went through a lot when her parents divorced. This novel is a great indicator of what could go wrong with a child when parents do not take the time with their child when the are going through a divorce. Her parents were so wrapped up in their own lives and blaming each other that they did not see that poor Misty was crying out for help. Misty's story is a real eye opener to me. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series to see how the other girls in the story's life shapes up.

I give this book a 4/5

2-0 out of 5 stars Eh.
As a novel on its own for teenage readers - and I WAS a young teenager back in 1999 when this book came out - it was a decent read. Back then I still got excited every time a new VCA book came out. I was a bit disappointed that Neiderman hadn't gone back to a full series after finishing this one, but by gum, I still got excited!

However now ten years later, I'm no longer excited. Compared to the crud that Mr. Neiderman is now writing under VCA's name (Gemini, Shadows, Flower, Attic, Delia, and now Heavenstone series) Misty is definitely a better read in its own right. However, as a VCA book it's unacceptable. Yeah, Misty has problems, her dad and mom hate one another, blah blah, but she sounds as if she just likes to be rebellious on top of the justified anger she feels towards her parents. For a tween book, it's not bad. 2.5/5 stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Teenage/Young Adultfiction.
Even as an adult I love to read books that are also written for children and teenagers, there are some great books out there for these age groups that are often just as appealing to adults.
As far as teenage fiction goes, this one is pretty average. I didn't dislike the book, it just wasn't great.
Misty introduces the reader to a therapy session that involves four girls revealing their personal story. Misty's story revolves around the divorce of her parents, their hatred towards each other and the impact this has had on her.
Very different from the usual style of V C Andrews books that often centre around darker themes and familty secrets, this book is very much toned down, and seems almost like an introduction for a younger reader to the V C Andrews collection.
The first of a series of 5 books, "Misty" is followed by the book "Star".

1-0 out of 5 stars She's so bad....she ran away on a Mini Motorcycle!
Misty is the first in the Wildflowers series, and floral metaphors are scattered throughout the five part series of poor little rich girls. In Dr. Marlowe's office the girls will explore the pain of their past. And yada, yada, yada. The book tags and summary are so melodramatic it's laughable, and sadly, the inside of the book isn't much better. For 150 pages, Misty whines about her life, using endless description, and clichéd metaphors, that a real person who was narrating her tale never would have spoken. At the end of the book, we know that there is still more torment, for Star will be speaking tomorrow.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
This is the first VC Andrews book I've read, but definately not the last! My friend told me it was really good, and I had to read it - and she was right! Some people have mentioned that V.C. Andrews must be targeting a younger audience with the Wildflowers Miniseries, but I disagree. In "Misty" a young teenage girl (Misty) goes to her counsuler and meets three girls that have similar problems to her's (the three girls are named Cat, Jade, and Star). Misty tells her story to the girls, and after her sad story, they all feel closer together. Misty's parents are divorced because her dad found a younger woman (who's almost the same age as Misty!) and her mom is image obsessed. After the divorce, Misty's grades go down, her friends drift away from her, and she finds herself in 2 bad relationships, both which end abruptly. This book is very good, but very short, and also very suggestive. I reccommed it to anyone who likes V.C Andrews books or anyone that likes books about divorce or romance. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Heaven by V.C. Andrews
Heaven is part of a five book series by the author V.C. Andrews. This one is about the Casteel family. The main character is a girl named Heaven and the story is about her life.It tells how her West Virginia family is so poor and how hard thier lives are.Heaven is always looking to overcome this and prove to everyone that someday she will make it out of this town and have a better life. The story is so unbeliveable that people actually lived this way during the 1950-1960's.This book is for everyone who likes realistic fiction and can handle adult content.

5-0 out of 5 stars Extremely pleased
I have read every single book V.C. Andrews has ever written. I started in 5th grade and I have never stopped. Dawn was the first book of hers that I have read. I have been hooked ever since. Her books show so much emotion that you can't help but fall in love with the characters. Dawn, Heaven, andRuby, are all characters that as humans we can relate to. They all gothrough the hardships of life and love, but they have fun adverntures whiledoing so. Through these characters, it is possible to dream and live outyour own personal fantasies. Visit places you've never been or shareexperiences that are beyond reach.

5-0 out of 5 stars ITS SADISTIC.....but great!!!!!!!!
I first picked up this book when I was 13, and I couldn't put it down until I came to the last page. The series is compelling, bitter-sweet and I recommend it to anyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars This book(Heaven)was compelling and brilliant!!!!!!!!!!
I read Heaven a while back and thouroughly enjoyed it.Recently I have read 7 or8 more of her books plus the'new' series which is just as exellent. What I love most about her writing is that it is so passionate,I have often found myself crying over one of her novels,I'm glad someone has carried on her thrilling series of family sagas.-a Zimbabwean fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Book: Dawn by V.C. Andrews
Out of all the V.C. Andrew novel-series, I loved this one the best.Dawn went threw some terrible things in her lifetime, but in the end she found happiness and sucess. The only reason her half-sister and grandmother hated her was because they hated themselves. I read Darkest Hour before reading about Dawn and I was shocked.I couldn't believe that was the same Lillian Cutler.I gathered from Darkest Hour that Lillian, although going through hell coming up, that she ended up a kind woman. But I quess by the time Dawn met her she had suffered so much that her heart couldn't take anymore pain and she became spiteful. What we go through in life can either have a good impact on us to do better, or have a bad impact on us to make our hearts angry. And I suppose Lillian chose the negative road.Nonetheless, I loved the entire series and I plan on reading it again soon. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Book
I enjoyed this book a lot.I had read the first in the series and was anxious to read this one.It continues the saga of the family. The grandmother...Olivia continues to rule the entire family. Each book leaves you wanting to read the next to find out how the family endures the blows they have been dealt and Olivia.I had trouble putting it down until I finished it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable
Heart Song was a bit plodding, but fortunately the action picks up in this book. Melody gets the answer to her long sought-after paternity after finding out that her mother isn't dead after all. This book isn't the best, but it's still pretty good at a solid 4/5 stars. Several deaths spot this book, but they feel rather convenient in the scheme of the plot, so this read is a bit light compared to previous series. Still, this book is a decent read.

3-0 out of 5 stars good plot, irritating family
Melody travels alone to LA to track down her allegedly dead mother, and her disillusionment made for a good realistic read. I was also horrified by the secret revealed about Laura at the end of the book. Good plot, but I found most of the female characters irritating. Dorothy lived in a fantasy world, Haille was unbelievably selfish and irresponsible, and Grandma Olivia had a stone where a heart should have been. Sara was sweet but so wishy-washy. And no matter how kind Holly was, she shouldn't have tried to sway Melody from tradition with her stupid crystals and astrology. But Carey and May were such stable, loveable characters when Melody needed them most, and Melody herself showed real growth.

4-0 out of 5 stars alittle different.....
So i just finished this book last night, this book was a little different from the norm. I must admit i had a vc andrews falling out, After i read Dawn and Heaven i was so sick of the characters dying. But i gave Ruby a shot and then Melody, Even though these books were published years ago i still keep to the order. Melody was a good book, not my fav but enough to make me read heart song and unfinished symphony. I was not aware that this was the last book for Melody, The GW wrapped up everything so quickly. Everyone thought in the book that Melody should stop digging in the past and go on with her future, and yet the GW didnt write her one, only a possible direction. Maybe he got alittle bored with her, like i did.
I thought the Laura thing was going to be way better, i hoped they would have rescued her from the institution and started a new story, Perhaps its for the best that they didnt. Im not sure if i want to read the next book, i think i know enough about Cary and Laura, but me knowing myself i will because im a sucker. I cant wait to read Olivia though, When i first read Flowers, i hated the grandmother Olivia, but when i read Garden of Shadows i fell in love with her character. Im hoping its almost the same. Although no one can replace the one and only Olivia Foxworth!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice
This is a ery good climax to the stroy of Melody Logan. She finally soars off the California to find her actress mother, who apparentlly staged her death. She goes through some strange trials in the Hollywood scene. Like alomost appearing in a stagg film. Near the end of the book, the secret of Laura Logan is revealed. ... Read more

Product Description
This is the first full-length study of the work of gothic novelist V.C. Andrews. Andrews's ability to create adolescent characters who are caught uncomfortably between childhood and adulthood has won her millions of teenage readers. She focuses on the female adolescent experience and connects with her readers by creating characters who reflect adolescent struggles, confusion, and pain. Huntley shows that the power of Andrews's novels lies in her creation of an enthralling nightmare world, like a fairy tale gone berserk, in which the young heroine struggles with adolescent fears and frustrations in suddenly dangerous and bizarre domestic settings. Huntley locates the novels in the tradition of the female gothic, which Andrews refashioned into her own brand of gothicism: a blend of the gothic with horror fiction and the fairy tale. ... "I felt like I was going to my own execution...."

Cat had listened patiently as the other three girls in Dr. Marlowe's therapy group shared their innermost feelings. They had described their broken families honestly, to the point of pain. If Cat doesn't tell her own tale, the others will see it as a betrayal. So she has no choice.

Or does she? Maybe she could lie -- just make something up.Anything would be better than the truth. For Cat has the darkest, most horrifying secret of them all.... ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Best of the Wildflower books
There were several things I didn't like about Cat. I'm not sure why such an emphasis was placed on her precocious puberty or her weight. Her family story is interesting, and felt the most VCA-ish out of all four girls. She has a neurotic mom and a loving daddy... a very loving one. She trusts him so much that she doesn't quite realize his feelings for her until he final;ly betrays her. This story should have been a full novel, it had the potential to be fleshed out into a compelling tale, perhaps even a full series of its own (with the revelations from 'Into the Garden'.

I would have given a higher rating, but Neiderman's writing had declined in quality since the Logan series, and while this story was interesting, parts of it were rather flat and contrived.

3-0 out of 5 stars getting darker
It's Cat's turn. The fourth in the wildlowers series continus to get darker when Cat reveals the secret that has left her traumatised, the ultimate betrayal perpetrated by a Father, and to a lesser degree a Mother.
As a reader I was left thinking that Cat has not only been betrayed by her parents but also by the councillor Dr Marlow, who has encouraged her to reveal a devestating secret to 3 other girls who have not experienced anything quite as bad as poor Cat.
It appears that Cat has been taken advantage of again, this time by Dr Marlow, who has used Cat as the ultimate "Well you think you got it bad?..." example that makes the other girls problems seem petty and insignificant.
Well, at least she seems to have made some friends out of it, but to this reader it did not seem credible that this girl would reveal such a secret to strangers unless they had shared stories more similar to her own. And shouldn't have Dr Marlow put Cat in a therapy session with others who could be more empathetic to her circumstances?
Aside from these criticisms, in my opinion, Cat has been the best of the series so far,and most close to a traditional Virginia Andrews style story.

5-0 out of 5 stars She's Done it again
As always this book is wonderful as with all her books.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cat Comes out of Her Shell
Cat did the right thing to lay all of her cards on the table with the girls and Dr. Marlowe. All things have to come out.It was awful of Geraldine to isolate Cat as well as abuse her physically and verbally.Cat deserves to have friends. What helps her is that she is willing to give people a chance. It was shocking that Howard assaults Cat after she trusts him.

1-0 out of 5 stars Well, not great...
Cat was the first okay book in the series, but maybe it's just because she is so pathetic. She was molested by the father that adopted her and her whole twisted past begins to unravel like a cheap sweater from K-Mart.Her mother is actually her sister, however, it's not because they are from Alabama. It's because their mother became pregnant with Cat after having an affair. The older sister adopted Cat to save the family from disgrace. The book is sad in a way the others aren't, but it's poorly written and the characterization wasn't very good. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Fallen Hearts ~ book 3 in the Casteel Saga
It's a good book that follows Dark Angel (book 2) in the series. It could have been read as a stand alone book, but better if you have read Heaven and Dark Angel prior to reading this one. I found it to be a bit long winded in some places. I was just like "ok already, get to it!!). But V.C. Andrews had passed away and you can see the difference in the writting styles. Not saying this is bad, just different. It was nice to catch up on what happened with everyone. I feel that there could have been more of a story about Keith and Our-Jane. They just fell out of the story by this time.

Bottom line, if you are reading the Heaven series, then this is a must read book. If someone just picked it up as a stand alone read, I wouldn't recommend it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent continuation of the Casteel saga
Doubtless Fallen Hearts might have been a bit different if VCA had been able to finish this story before her untimely death. Neiderman didn't keep all the facts straight from Dark Angel, as the exact details of Troy's death/return, and nearer the end of Fallen Hearts, the writing feels a bit more distinctly different. However, this is stilla decent continuation of the Casteel saga. Having the truth revealed (that Leigh wasn't the little whore that Troy made her out to be) felt good. I know some VCA fans might disagree, but it felt somehow appropriate to me that Heaven would be with Troy one last time. I was disappointed that Luke suddenly died, though. It seemed like such an 'convenient' death so Neiderman wouldn't have to work with him anymore. A definite good read even if not up to the par of a 100% VCA book.

5-0 out of 5 stars VC Andrews is the greatest!
Fallen hearts is a book out of the Casteel series.I think the Casteel series is the best she ever wrote personally. This whole series are those kind of books you just cant put down.I find whenever I have read these books (ive read the series all the way through about 4 times) I never get anything else done.LOL.You cant help but get sucked into Heaven's world.Awesome books!Read them all!

4-0 out of 5 stars Not as good as Heaven and Dark Angel
For once, Heaven Casteel feels like she could be happy. But after she marries her childhood sweetheart, Logan Stonewell, and goes back to Farthy, her mother's childhood home, her fragile happiness is shattered.

After I read Dark Angel (the book leading up to this one), I knew I would have to read the next one in the series. However, I was slightly disappointed in this one. Though the plot was just as tragic, dark, and dramatic as the previous book, the writing in itself has gone down. There were phrases and phrases of the same thing over and over again. The descriptions of Heaven's thoughts and feelings seemed to be repetitive and dragged out. The romance aspect of the book was rather cheesy, and the characters were somewhat destroyed. But in the end, if you skip the details and only read the dialogue, this novel is actually pretty good. I liked how the relationship between Heaven and Fanny resulted in the end, and how they seemed to finally make peace with each other. Heaven also learned that "Pa" did love her some. All in all, it wasn't the best VC Andrews book out there, but considering that this book was written by a ghost writer, it came together nicely at the end and was rather enjoyable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Book!
I really loved this book. I felt sorry for Heaven, she has it rough. Really rough, I couldn't imagine having a sister like Fanny, she's a little witch. Now I'm off to 'Gates of Paradise'! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Hm
Star's not really better or worse than her predecessor, Misty. Her story isn't VCA caliber, but it's not a bad book for teens to read. It seems that Neiderman was relying on stereotypes for this book, but by itself it isn't a horrible read, just a lite teen book. Compared to the other books in this series, it's so-so.

3-0 out of 5 stars Star not up to par
The second book in the wildflower series, Star is just a tad better than "Misty" the first in this mini series. Atleast Star didn't come across as a poor little rich girl, as Misty did in the first book. Star was a little more real, and had family secrets that were significant. I came away from this book wondering why the so called therapist Dr Marlow would group Misty with Star for therapy, was it to illustrate to Misty that she really didn't have it that bad at all?
Now having finished the second in the series, I stand by my belief that this "ghost writer" is just not on the same level as Virginia Andrews. This writer just cannot create the same kind of atmosphere, and ultimately has brought down (atleast this series) the writing from adult fiction to teenage fiction. Quite frankly he is just not up to par.
On the other hand, if you like easy quick read teenage fiction, it will hold your attention.

1-0 out of 5 stars All i can think of is what a sad way to make money.
I'm a huge V.C. Andrews fan. That is, the REAL VC, and not the ghost writer of Andrew Neiderman. My one star rating is for all the mini series books out there. What a marketing ripoff. By the time you buy each individual little book in the mini series, plus the final book that reunites them all, you will have spent considerably more than the price for one normal sized VC book. Now that the hype of the series has died down, i find that they go and finally publish all the books together in one massive volume, like they should have done in the first place. The real VC would not have pulled such a horrible money-making stunt like the publishers are doing. The mini-series books have a hastily-written feel to them, as if the publishers needed to get some kind of VC book out on the shelves asap, with little thought to the content, or even if the faithful VC fans would even care about a mini-series like this. The VC magic was totally absent from any of the mini-series books, and i felt like i was reading a "young adult" teeny-bopper VC Andrews, instead of the old "adult" VC Andrews we all love. I think all of the books in the mini-series should be put in the Young Adult section instead of in the horror section of the bookstore. They feel like a cross between a weak version of R.L. Stine books and some other book aimed at 12-year-olds. There really is a juvenile feel to these mini-series books that i did not like. The ghost writer has gotten worse with each series, and it was obvious many series ago that he has adopted his own modern writing style, even though the story is told in the first person. I never liked this current "modernization" of the VC Andrews stories. The older books were the best ever, because they were written by the real V.C. Andrews, and had memorable characters. Tell me, does any true VC fan care much for the new crop of characters in these mini-series?? NO! Compare the new books to the books in the Flowers In The Attic series and Heaven series. It's like compairing junk to a treasure. It's so obvious that the Andrews family is in all this for a share of the money they are making off the ghost writer's books. I wish Andrew Neiderman would stop attaching V.C. Andrews' name to the stuff he writes. VC would not be proud. Her stores were ten million times better and more interesting than these damned mini-series books. The fact that the name V.C. Andrews is a copyright is a shame. Why doesn't Andrew Neiderman just write the books and put his name on them? We all know he's the one writing the books, so just stop with putting VC Andrews on the cover. It's become a joke now. We all know the writing and story ideas are nowhere near as good as the ones the real VC used to write. Please skip all the books in any of the mini-series. If you want to read the REAL V.C. Andrews, then stick with the first few series she wrote. For those who don't know, she died in 1986, shortly after Dark Angel, the second book in the Heaven series, was written.

5-0 out of 5 stars Needy Girl is Rich in Experience
Star acted more of a mom to her little brother Rodney while their own parents Aretha and Kenny were so busy squabbling with each other.Star and Rodney were lucky to move in with their grandma.I was glad she fell in love with Steve.I believe Star should have told her grandma about Steve's problems while he was alive. That way Steve's life would have been saved.Star took it very hard when Steve died.Yet her grandma didn't panic when she found out when her own granddaughter needed help.

1-0 out of 5 stars Falling Stars
Star is the most boring of all the Wildflowers.Maybe it's because her romance with the abused boy is so clichéd, or maybe it's because the lavish houses of Beverly Hills are missing.Whatever it is, something is lacking in this story.Might it be a talented writer? ... Read more

Sixteen-year-old Keifer McDaniel never got anything he wanted. His father was strict and soft spoken; his mother laid down the law and didn't give breaks; his older brother never let him borrow his car. But this summer Keifer's made up his mind to finally get something that he wanted; the girl of his dreams: rich, blue-blooded, Liz-May Piedmont. He didn't attend her prestigious private school, and to make matters worse...she was involved with another guy. 5-0 out of 5 stars Historia de maltrato, desamor ,ambicion y egoismo

5-0 out of 5 stars A book worth reading!
Reading novels have never been my passion, but after a friend told me the story behind this book, i couldn't hesitate but got a copy for myself.I couldn't put it down until i was done with it,which ofcourse took me thewhole day. This novel is so touching and so real.I had to buy the otherseries that follows, only to miss Petals in the wind which i am stillhunting for right now.I really recommend it for anyone.Varginia Andrews, yrbooks are my favorite,i really love yr writing style.

4-0 out of 5 stars Flowers in the Attic
This book is a fantastic read, I recommend it to anyone over 12. The heartwrenching tale of betrayal and sadness will surely move you. If you read this book I guarantee you will want more. Who could stop at oneVirginia Andrews book? I think this is the best volume in the series. Thecharacters are true to life, the plot is intense and realistic. This novelis a must for the personal library of any avid drama reader. The reason Igave it only 4 stars is because, although it's a great story, I think it'sreally too dark and sad for regular reading. I have a copy and I have readit twice since I got it, which was about three years ago. I don't thinkit's the type of book you can read over and over again without depressingthe hell out of yourself. Still, read it, even if you only read it once.

5-0 out of 5 stars FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC
I COULD'NT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN FOR TOO LONG .THE CHARACTERS WERE ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT FOR WEEKS AFTER I FINISHED READING THE BOOK. HOW COULD A FAMILY EXPERIENCE SO MUCH LOVE, HATE, GREED AND BETRAYAL?THE WAY THEY DOWILL AMAZE YOU. I CAN'T WAIT TO READ THE REST OF VIRGINIA'S BOOK, AS SOONAS I CAN GET MY HANDS ON THEM.

5-0 out of 5 stars An excellent novel and I recommend it to all.
