The winner of the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award is Linda Gregerson for her collection, Waterborne (Houghton Mifflin, 2002). The winner of the Kate Tufts Award is Joanie Mackowski for her collection The Zoo (Pittsburgh, 2002). Linda Gregerson's poems have appeared in NER on many occasions, most recently in our Summer 2001 issue (vol. 22, no. 3). Joanie Mackowski's work most recently appeared in NER's Spring 2002 issue (vol. 23, no. 2). Marc Estrin 's debut novel, Insect Dreams, was named by the New York Public Library as one of the 25 Exceptional Books of 2002.
