Cobi Jones is the soccer player kids watch in the United States. He is their hero. This book will help the beginner through advanced increase their skills. The format of the book is very user friendly. First, thereader learns some valuable information about Cobi Jones, then he takes youstep by step through all of soccer's skills.Mr. Jones goes over the rulesof the game, then stresses the need for warming up and details someexercises to do just that.He also emphasizes fair play. Jones was one of a significant group of American national team stars who returned from overseas to aid the new American soccer league, coming home after spending half a season at Brazilian club Vasco da Gama. After graduating from Westlake High School, Jones emerged as a talented player in college, making the prestigious UCLA soccer team as a non-scholarship player, but ultimately becoming one of its most successful soccer-playing graduates. While attending UCLA, Jones was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, an international fraternity. After playing in the 1994 World Cup held in the United States, Jones signed with Coventry City of the English Premier League, where he spent one season. Born in Lakewood, Ohio, Friedel grew up in Bay Village, where he attended Westerly Elementary School, Bay Middle School and Bay High School.
