Excerpt: Carter Vincent James Trevisani (born June 15, 1982 in Hamilton, Ontario) is a professional ice hockey player, he is currently playing for the HC Asiago of the Serie A and is a defenceman and has been named to play for Italy internationally four times. Trevisani was drafted 244th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. After leaving Ohio State, Trevisani played at the major junior level for the Ottawa 67's of the OHL from 2000-2003. After not catching on with the Hurricanes or any other NHL team, Trevisani went to play in Italy's Serie A first two seasons with A.S. Mastini Varese Hockey and then, beginning in 20052006 with A.S. Asiago Hockey. Trevisani then went on to play in Sweden with Södertälje SK. At the beginning of the 20072008 season Trevisani returned to Italy to play with Hockey Club Junior Milano Vipers. Trevisani played the 20062007 season in Sweden. While in Sweden his team played in the Hockey Allsvenskan Sweden's second highest ice-hockey league. Upon the completion of the 200607 season, Södertälje SK were promoted to the Elitserien, Sweden's highest ice-hockey league, for the 20072008 season. In 1999 Trevisani participated in the Canada Winter Games as a member of the Ontario Under-17 team. In 2006 Trevisani represented Italy at the 2006 Winter Olympics and continues to play for the Italian National team in various international competitions. Excerpt: Oleg Mikhailovich Petrov ( ; born April 18, 1971 in Moscow, Soviet Union) is a professional ice hockey right winger who currently plays for Atlant Moscow Oblast in KHL. He had played in the NHL between 1992 and 2003. Petrov was drafted 127th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. He played in 382 career NHL games, scoring 72 goals and 115 assists for 187 points. The most goals he ever scored in a single season in the NHL was 24, and the most points he ever achieved was 47. He won a Stanley Cup in 1993 with the Montreal Canadiens; however, he did not play enough games to officially qualify, so his name was not put on the Stanley Cup. He left the NHL to end his career in Switzerland and signed up with EV Zug in Switzerland's Nationalliga A. He was the team's leading scorer in 200405 with 30 goals and 23 assists. Excerpt: Douglas Arthur Shedden (born April 29, 1961 in Wallaceburg, Ontario) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He coached Team Finland to a bronze medal in 2008 World Championships. Shedden is currently the head coach of EV Zug of the Swiss Nationalliga A. Shedden, who played the position of centre, spent eight seasons playing in the National Hockey League for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Quebec Nordiques and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was drafted 93rd overall by the Penguins in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. In 416 career NHL games, Shedden recorded 139 goals and 186 assists for 325 points. He was selected 139th overall in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins. He played a total of ten games for the Bruins during the 198788 and 198889 seasons. Beraldo has also played for both the Canadian and the Italian national ice hockey teams. Having been selected by the Boston Bruins in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft, Beraldo was assigned to play for their farm team, the Maine Mariners, in the American Hockey League (AHL) during the 198788 season. He played for Maine in the AHL for three seasons, during which team he stepped up to play for Boston in the National Hockey League (NHL) three times during the 198788 season and seven times during the 198889 season, although he failed to score any points during these games.
