Todd Marchant and Ryan Smyth tied career highs with four points apiece and Georges Laraque scored twice as the Oilers skated to an 8-5 victory over the Blue Jackets. After scoring a season-high seven goals in Saturday's triumph over Calgary that raised their record to 3-0-0 under interim coach Doug MacLean, the Blue Jackets jumped out to an early lead on rookie Rick Nash's 10th goal. But Edmonton erupted for three goals in a 3:31 span, including two by Marchant, and never looked back.
