Extractions: Munich, Germany - With the league heading into a 10-day All-Star break, Nuremberg continues to be the hottest team in the DEL. The Ice Tigers capped an undefeated month of January with their ninth straight win Friday night. In Schwenningen, the DELs all-time leading scorer, 41-year-old Mike Bullard returned to DEL action after a nine-month absence. Off the ice, the last-place Wild Wings had to file for insolvency. The third-place Mannheim Adler bounced back from back-to-back shutout losses. A big opening period was enough to keep the Krefeld Pinguine at bay on the road. Behind powerplay tallies from Nick Naumenko and Rene Corbet and a goal from Steve Junker, the Adler jumped out to a three-goal lead at the first intermission. Mike Rosati recorded his second shutout of the season as the Adler held on for a 3-0 (3-0, 0-0, 0-0) win.
