Extractions: Saku Koivu (Photo: Dave Sandford/Getty Images/ NHLI ) The Boston Bruins traveled to Montreal with their best-of-seven playoff series with the Canadiens tied up at one game apiece, and looking for anything to use to help them regain the advantage. Although they were coming off of a 6-4 win at home in game two, the Bruins knew that they had nearly blown a 4-0 lead and were looking to seize control of the series. After building a 3-1 lead heading into the final period, it looked like they might have done it, but a late goal on an incredible individual effort from Montreal captain Saku Koivu (he added two assists) ended up as the winner and the number eight seed took a 2-1 series lead. Yanic Perreault, Donald Audette, Doug Gilmour and Joe Juneau (empty net) also scored for the Canadiens, while goaltender Jose Theodore made 29 saves on 32 shots.
