John Salley: The research people of the show take the families and separate them and ask the families a whole bunch of questions. They break them up and then find many similar things that they may have said. They also find things that one member said about another. It's not a hard show, but a hard show to research. We don't dig into the families, we let them tell us. Pepelepew: How do you find people to be on "I Can't Believe You Said That?" John Salley: A little nervous at first, and hopefully I make them relax. They're very giving to tell the story. Nando: What is the most challenging aspect of being a TV personality? John Salley: It's to be better every night, to be better than you were before. It's difficult to do, because we shoot shows in blocks. You have to keep your energy level up.
