Vin could bust his ass one game, coming up with important boards and buckets, and then follow that up by doing absolutely zilch the next. An opposing scout said this about Baker in Sports Illustrated's NBA Preview Issue: "His problem is that he thinks he's working hard when he's not." In the Western Conference, that sort of approach by your starting center/power forward translates to a lot of losses. That won't be a problem for the Sonics this season, as the lethargic, but talented, Baker has been replaced by a troika of less talented but harder working big men.
