To mark the fiftieth anniversary of Jackie Robinson's breaking the color barrier in Major League Baseball, the 1997 Symposium was dedicated to Robinson. These papers focus on Robinson, baseball, and race relations and are divided into three parts: "Before Robinson," "Robinson and Social Change," and "The Legacy of Robinson." For it's one... two... three CDs out at the old ballgame!
According to manufacturer Radio Spirits, Yogi himself selected the vintage shows that comprise this 3-hour, 3-CD collection.

Dubs are from original broadcast transcription discs. A certain amount of surface noise and crackle is inevitable from these 60 to 70-year old records, but it's not so obtrusive as to render listening unpleasant. Recommended for all old time radio and baseball fans.

Robinson broke the baseball color line when he debuted with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947.
