A Must-Have for any collection
This book is a wonderful portrait of a proffesional baseball pitcher.This book is a great biography for sports lovers--or just for people who love great writing.The book focuses on Johnson's baseball career; fromthe time he was enrolled in USC with a full baseball scholarship, right upto 1998, when he switches teams and becomes an Arizona Diamondback. On the mound with Randy Johnson by Matt Christopher is great.I think it's great because it has a lot of action.I also like it because it's about sports. It's about Randy Johnson.Randy Johnson is a pitcher in the majors. I liked it and I think if you read it you will too.
The book is easy to read.Because there are not a lot of hard words.In the middle it has black and white photos.But the photos are easy to imagine in color.The photos are of Randy Johnson playing baseball.Each photo has a caption under it.
I think Matt Chirstopher wrote this book because he wanted to show people that even though Randy Johnson played for a not very good team, he still played well.I think that after reading this book you don't have to be on a good team to play well.If you read this book and like it, there're other Matt Christopher biographies.

The name of my book is On the Mound with Randy Johnson by Matt Christopher.It has 116 pages, and it's a biography.
The setting is Seattle, in the years of 1982-2000.The plot tells how Randy Johnson got so good a being a pitcher.
The reason I like this book is that it's a bioghraphy.Another reason is that Randy Johnson is a good player.Also, I like that, he's won a world series.
I think this good for people that are 10-21 years old. If you like biographies, you should check out this book, On the Mound with Randy Johnson.

Randy Johnson's Power Pitching
My son is a highly recruited college and pro pitching prospect.I've brought him up on Randy Johnson's mental side of the game.This book is short and to the point, perfect for my son's reading attention span...but, he read this book cover-to-cover in one setting.It's good to read one time over, but like my son said, this is a book to go back to time and again to remind him of setting the right mind set during a game.Randy also stresses the importance of mechanics and physical conditioning.It's just a good reference book, a Pitching Bible brought to you by the Unit...

From Ran what do you expect?
A great all around book with a great story and great pictures. I really enjoyed reading this book because it showed techiques about pitching. Johnson gives great stratagies on pitching and life. The book sheds light on some of Johnson's other talents such as basketball and takes us into a world where Johnson's erradic pitching gets transformed into fine techique. I also liked the way Nolan Ryan was put in this book. His HOF comments in the foreward serve the book well.
