Touchdown!
Hey, if Dan Marino was at first and goal, wouldn't a touchdown be sure to follow.My kids loved this book.It was extremely entertaining, and they thought the pictures were awesome.First & Goal is a different type ofchildren's sports book in that, instead of just being a synopsis of hisfine career, it teaches a more underlying lesson of giving it (anything)your all.The writing is quite good in that a nice, easy, descriptivelanguage is used, making it entertaining for children of all ages.This isa good book, and you children are sure to love as much as mine did. ... Dan Marino: The Making of a Legend
This book is the greatest book i ever read.Growing up in Pittsburg and eating those peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches turned a boy into a man and not just an ordinary man, Dan Marino THE GREATEST quarterback EVER and this book will prove to you that he is the best person on and off the field.Its a shame how video games are taking over kids life so we will probably never see anyone that comes close to Marino in every aspect of life.He donates his time to help children in need and on the field he throws the ball super-human like.I live in New York and i'm a Jet fan but theres no way i can deny him being the best ever and if you deny it its really because your jealous.This book shows the ups and downs dan had in his life and carrer.Dan is a loyal and caring man to his wife and kids.Theres never been a man with a greater will to win, and when you see him play and the fire in his eyes you will agree.After reading this book it will turn any man into a Dan fan.I recomend this book to football fans and Dan Marino fans all over the globe.

Funding
Dan Marino was one of the great all-time quarterbacks.His quick decision making, and quick release revolutionized the game.But we never could have seen this athlete perform, had there not been NFL funding.Yes, without contributions from government subsidies, we never would have been able to see Elway play.I mean Marino.Do you guys realize that George Bush is thinking about cutting NFL funding.He has already voted to reduce quick release-throwing-funding.Without this funding Marino can't make the comeback he keeps talking about.
Doesn't anybody else care about Marino other than ME? F***

Excellent
An extremely well-presented biog of the NFL's greatest quarterback. Different people gives their insights on the former Dolphin enabling us to see different sides of Dan the Man. I was intrigued to learn that he has written several commentaries on the work of Guy de Maupassant, has mastered the lute and mandolin and is an accomplished pastry chef.

Dan Is And Always Will Be The Man
I must admit that I am the biggest Dan Marino fan of all time, so I read this book with a little bias.However, Beckett Publications always produce good books.

This book is extremely well written, and there are tons ofsuper pictures, many of which, I had never seen.Instead of having onestoryline from start to finish, this book uses several authors, many ofwhom are well-recognizable to the sportsworld, to depict Marino's storythroughout time.

Nobody in the game of football was a better pure passer,and nobody ever graced the game with more passion and competitiveness. This book sheds light on Dan Marino's overwhelming deisire to compete andwin.In reading this book, you'll easily win too.

On the record - Not too factual
It didn't seem that Dan reviewed this book before it was printed. One part of the book, Dan says he threw the trick play against the NY Jets to Fryar. That was wrong, it was Ingram. The next error is that he was making NY think he was going to throw it into the dirt. There is no dirt in NY, it is all Turf. Last, he said that the noice is so loud with all the NY Fans in the stadium. Everyone in NY knows that that stadium is 1/3 Dolphins Fans when Miami comes into town.

Great pictures, Marino speaks
Some excellent pictures of both the Dolphins and Marino.Marino speaks of both the good and the mediocre of his career from his upbringing and his family through his wife and kids.He doesn't touch on any huge surprises or vent any frustrations.A good book for the huge Marino fan.I went through it in about 1/2 an hour sitting in the store.Nice for the coffee table ... Cool book, especially for Dan Fans
For a number of years I've been a fan of Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins. Dan Marino was a great quarterback, and we all hated to see him retire. The NFL clearly will never be the same without that flame throwing#13 to excite us all. His last years weren't near as good as the rest ofhis career, and Dan never won a Super Bowl either, but undeniably duringDan's hot seasons he was the most feared QB ever to play the game. IsMarino the best QB ever to play the game? Maybe not, but when it comes toall-out great passers in the NFL, Marino has to rank high on your list.Beckett's Great Sports Heroes is a good look into Dan's record breakingcareer. There are some good articles and nice pictures. Nothing really deepinto Dan's life here, but Beckett still has produced a good enjoyable readon one of the greatest, those who are fans of Marino like me, and eventhose who aren't, will find an entertaining read.
