Frank Wycheck - College/NFL frank I was in awe the entire week. It was like being a kid. It was such anhonor to be on the field with the best football players in the world. http://frankwycheck89.com/frankqanda.html
Extractions: Q: Who inspired you the most to pursue football as a career? Frank: My Father Q: Why do you wear # 89? Frank: When I first came to the Oilers they gave me #45. I wore that during the pre season and then was given the opportunity to pick another number. I picked 89 because it was the only number left in the 80's. Q: Have you always played the TE/H-Back position, or was there a time before your college or pro career that you played a different position? Frank: I played running back since the age of 5 until college. Q: Do you have a routine that you follow on Sundays before a game? If so what? Frank: After a win I try to do the same thing as the previous week. Q: Do you have any superstitions on gameday like "I have to tie my right shoe first" or anything like that? Frank: No Q: What's the main difference between playing football at the college level vs. the NFL? Frank: The speed of the game. It is at least 10 times faster than that of a college game. Q: What surprised you the most about the NFL in your rookie season?
Frank Wycheck - Super Bowl Day 5 Titans tight end frank wycheck is sharing his thoughts on the Super Bowl with The Somy Game Before the Game of video football against the Rams' Marshall http://frankwycheck89.com/superbowlday5.html
Extractions: Titans tight end Frank Wycheck is sharing his thoughts on the Super Bowl with The Tennessean as told to Titans beat writer Paul Kuharsky: SATURDAY, JANUARY 29th DAY 5 So my "Game Before the Game" of video football against the Rams' Marshall Faulk Thursday night turned out to be sort of a debacle. I wound up losing the game by six, 20-14, but there were a lot of factors in involved. We didn't play a full game, which obviously had an effect. I'm definitely going to send a letter to the commissioner's office. First it was going to be a half, then it was three quarters, but it ended up being tied at the end of three. Then, he already had the ball. I never really got a chance. He meticulously drove down the field and I was thinking he was just going to run the ball and play to kick the field goal. So I went on an all-out blitz and he threw a touchdown to Isaac Bruce to win the game. Marshall was a nice guy, but I guess he didn't have a lot of time and he didn't want to play a full game. Eddie George scored twice for me. He caught a short pass and broke a lot of tackles to score and then I drove down and had a little toss sweep to him and he powered into the end zone.

Frank Wycheck Is Mr. Clutch - Saturday, 1/15/00 survival, applying what you learned on the football field to wycheck has led the Titansin receptions for four seasons frank was a guy who always came back to http://www.tennessean.com/sii/00/01/15/wycheck15.shtml
Extractions: By Paul Kuharsky / Sports Writer A few days removed from his center-stage role in the Titans' miracle finish against the Buffalo Bills, Frank Wycheck sat at the kitchen table of his fancy Franklin home, shaking his head as he was led across a bridge linking two moments. Two seasons ago, a newspaper article calling the tight end the "NFL's best-kept secret weapon" included a crack about how plenty of NFL fans didn't know Wycheck from Wynonna. Just 25 months later, before the team kicked off against the Oakland Raiders on Dec. 9, 1999, Wynonna Judd sang the national anthem at Adelphia Coliseum. As she reached the song's final line, she dramatically untied her full-length leather coat and let it slip off her shoulders and fall to the turf, revealing an outfit the crowd of 66,357 approved with a roar. She wore Wycheck's jersey.

Extractions: OLD RELIABLE By Jim Wyatt / Sports Writer Of all the things the Titans have proven during the first two weeks of the regular season, one thing has become abundantly clear: You can take away the starting quarterback, but you can't take away the impact of Titans tight end Frank Wycheck. It took quarterback Neil O'Donnell, who's filling in for the injured Steve McNair, just one passing play on Sunday to prove that in the Titans' 26-9 victory over the Browns. O'Donnell's first pass was an 8-yard completion to Wycheck, and before the day was done Wycheck had a team-high nine catches for 80 yards. Only once during his seven-year NFL career has Wycheck caught more passes in a game. "[Frank's] a favorite target of any quarterback that's going to play under center for us just because he understands the offense and he has a knack for getting open and makes catches," Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said. "He's very reliable." Wycheck, 27, has established himself as one of the top tight ends in the NFL during the past three seasons while leading the team in receptions each of those years. This season Wycheck is aiming to become only the third player in the franchise's history to lead the squad in catches four straight years.

Extractions: NFL Insider When Frank Wycheck calls himself a lucky man, hes not just another athlete spouting clichés. The three-time Pro Bowl tight end is well aware that hes playing the right position for the right team at the right time. Luck may be abstract, but numbers dont lie. No other tight end or H-back has caught more passes during the past five seasons than the nine-year veteran. Not Tony Gonzalez. Not Shannon Sharpe. Not Wesley Walls or Ben Coates. Wycheck shrugs off the statistical rarity of leading the Titans in receptions for five consecutive years, catching 53, 63, 70, 69, and 70 passes, respectively. Hes entrenched himself as Steve McNairs favorite target and the Titans main alternative to handing the ball to Eddie George. If Wycheck ever forgot how lucky he is, other tight ends would quickly refresh his memory. In the eyes of many NFL fans outside Buffalo, Wycheck even played a part in redefining luck. He played an integral role in one of the leagues most unforgettable plays: "The Music City Miracle."
NFL.com: Wycheck: We Weren't Consistent In 2001 QB Club By frank wycheck QB Club. (Jan. It seemed like we would fight to get backto .500 and then let it slip away. We just weren'ta consistent football team. http://www.nfl.com/ce/feature/0,3783,4807417,00.html
Extractions: Real: Right from the start of the season we dug ourselves a huge hole. It seemed like we would fight to get back to .500 and then let it slip away. We just weren't a consistent football team. There were, though, a lot of positives that came about this year. Steve McNair had his best season ever. He proved to everyone he could make every throw there is. Derrick Mason had over 1,000 yards receiving. He elevated his game to a level that no one expected. Kevin Dyson , returning from reconstructive knee surgery, had close to 1,000 yards. Those three players took our offense to a new level. Going into next year, we should dominate and be back to playoff form.
